Another great race & another Schuey win. Im thinking its a strong return of Schuey to championship winning strength. I found the race as exciting as the British Touring Cars at Donnington Park afterwards which had everything. But the BTCC just nailed it for excitement. More on that later.

GP2 saw drama and tension as British driver and championship leader Lewis Hamilton increased his chances of winning the title whilst title rival Nelson Piquet Jnr faltered with a late retirement in race 1 and early retirement in race 2 with suspension troubles (and before the start too. It was 7 laps into the race before Piquet Jnr threw in the towel and he was still in the pits)

More on my earlier statement on why the BTCC at Donnington was more exciting then the German GP. Im gonna take a rest.
i may have to rethink my comments about webber earlier on this thread.
he was awesome until he want bang.
Right, why was the BTCC at Donnington more exciting then yesterdays German GP? Well yesterdays races were filled with excitement, drama, controversy and mayhem.
Race 1
Richard Marsh sliding his 307, Turner spun by Collard
Race 2
Plato, Pinkney and Chilton ending up in the gravel trap after the Craner Curves & Eoin Murray fighting competitively in the midfield points positions in a old Alfa Romeo and Mike Jordans remark Its like Wacky Races
Race 3
The crash at the start involving 5 cars (most notably Hughes, Collard & Plato) which brought out the red flag, the showers, Eoin Murray in a podium place until he throws it into the gravel after Craner Curves during a short sharp shower, Matt Neal nearly following suit, Giovanardi briefly leading until the final chicane when he and Turkington cut the chicane together.
That was why I found yesterdays BTCC more exciting the German GP. Maybe I should cover the BTCC next year.
News
1 - Kubica is replacing Villeneuve for Hungary as apparently villeneuve not feeling great after crash in Germany.
2 - Webber being dropped by Williams for 2007 and being replaced by Wurz. So Rosberg and Wurz will drive for Williams in 2007.
3 - Strong rumours Raikkonen will partner schmacher at Ferrari for 2007 on equal footing.
Ferrari without team orders, doubt that very much.

YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! HES DONE IT AT LAST!!!! After 113 GP starts, Jenson Button finally has his 1st grand prix (and from 14th on the grid too) but it was a race shaken up by weather conditions and a few stings in the tale for championship protagonists Alonso & M.Schumacher.
