    OK, lets start...

ROBOT WARS - THERES TWO SIDES TO EVERY WAR.

Welcome to Robot Wars, and a new brand of destruction. Tonight, we have a first. Two teams will be competing against each other in an all-out rumble. And let me tell you, teamwork means everything here. If all the members of one team are eliminated, the other team, regardless of how many team members are left, will win.

So, lets have a look at the competitors.

    --------
    BATTLE 1.

Well, this should be interesting. This is going to be completely unpredictable, as it could finish after four fights, or after seven.

And the first member of the red team comes out. Its Apocalypse 2, represented by Liam Elliot, and its a nasty piece of work. What we have here is a low slung box with two angled wheels to gain extra traction. It has a turning circle of zero, and a nasty four-bar pneumatic flipping arm to boot. Not only that, but he has a unique stratergy playing for him.

Next up to enter the ring is Compression by Lewis Matthews. a triangular monocoque, polished to perfection, even his wedges and skirts are hindged to protect him when hes upside down. If that wasnt enough, theres over 4 tonnes of pressure from the crushing claws at the front. He looks like the perfect machine, but well see.

Next up is Thor, driven by The Swan. If you remember this robot from Robot Wars, forget about it! This Thor is brand new and improved vastly. The strange shape is now black rather than red, and the hammer weapon is faster and much more powerful than ever before. This could be one to watch.

Finally for the red team is Tira V, driven by Kody Kunz. Shes got an attitude and it shows. Another monocoque, made of Hardox and tough to crack, Tira boasts a nasty verticle spinning blade, 22 kilos in total, up to 2500 rpm and with teeth that can flip AND rip. The self-righting mechanism, however, is questionable, to some people anyway...

And now lets welcome the blue team. First in, we have BIACS-IS of Evil-Ution, driven by Will Harrison...and frankly one of the strangest bots Ive ever seen. Basically, it looks like a pyramid, with hardox arms which raise and lower, revealing a very nasty looking spinning disc weapon. Itll be interesting to see how it works.

Then we have our second real robot, Gravity, who has been entered by Elliot Stevens. You all know Gravity by now, shaped like a snowspeeder, extremely powerful full-pressure flipper, very successful...but I dont trust the armour.

The next robot to enter is Harraz. Entered by Paul Cuomo, we have yet ANOTHER monocoque, basically a very low slung box, with angled sides to make it difficult to grab, with a black, blood-stained lifting arm that can not only overturn a robot, but can pin it as well. Hes quick and powerful, but he cant really do much to his foes.

Last, but by no means least, we have Joey McConnell and his machine, No Consequences, and I doubt there will be after this. Very low to the ground, very easy to control, tough to damage and it can spin at up to 1000rpm. However, it has a terrible secret...it has a fear of runaway steamrollers.

    ROBOTEERS, STAND BY.

So, the rules are that only two members of each team may be in the arena at once. Apocalypse 2 rolls back into the red zone along the side of the arena, closely follows by Compression. That will leave Tira and Thor to start for the red team. As for the blue team, BIACS has backed into the blue zone. And there, following him is Harraz, leaving No Consequences and Gravity.

The House Robots to start off in round 1 will be two classics, Dead Metal and Shunt.

    From Compressions stats:

SKIRTS: A 5mm hardox hinged wedge at the front (between the claws)

WEAPON 2: The hinged wedge between the claws beaches opponents with the Mute-style barbs it has so that the opponent can be pushed around while the claws keep hold

    ...uh...Paul...
