Right, this tournament will hopefully be short and sharp and end before Sunday.

Basic rules apply, apart from Im using the classic 80KG weight limit :-).

So 80Kg for Wheeled, Tracked, Alexs screw-drive, and no walkers.

4 Entries, first come first served, you can reserve a spot, however if a 5th person enters with stats, before you get around to posting stats, your machine will be out.

The set-up will be straight forward knockout, win 2 fights and your the champ, no 3rd place playoff. Get cracking}

Flyght Plan

Shape: Half-dome, with the front being the flat part and the rear being the dome part.

Colour: Yellow and red checkerboard, black flipper.

Speed: 12mph

Weight: 80kg

Armour: 15mm high-density-polyethylene for the main body (thats HDPE to you non-technical people :wink

, and the flipper is made of titanium. The underbelly is 6mm polycarbonate.

Drive: 2 S28-400 MagMotors @ 24v.

Power: 4 NiCad Battlepacks

Motivation: 4WD. Just plain-old go-kart tires, foam-filled.

Ground Clearance: 0mm at the flipper, 10mm around it, and a 180 coverage of 2mm at the rear.

Turning Circle: 0

Dimensions in CM (LxWxH): 80 x 75 x 20

Weaponry: A rear-hinged flipper like that of Bigger Brother, powered by a 2kg CO2 tank. Every flip produces 750psi and it can flip about 300kg. It can produce about 25 flips per fight. It also has a front plate like that of S7 Ripper made of 3.25mm Hardox.

Srimech: Flipper. It acts in a way that it jumps onto its wheels instead of tipping over the dome, to effectively self-right.

Strengths: Fast, powerful for a Classic HW. Good weapon.

Notes: Made this in 10 minutes.

Liar 2, change the LEMs for S28-400 MagMotors @ 24v, get rid of the spikes and change the entire armour to 4 mm Hardox, except for the front part of the flipper, make that 5 mm

Name: Monsoon Lite
Weight: 80kg
Armour: 8mm Polycarbonate
Speed: Roughly 28mph
Shape: Box shaped, 80 x 30 x 25 (L x W x H in cm).
Weapon 1: Front scoop made from 4mm Hardox with a 4mm Ti/Vanadium alloy sharpener at the bottom to give a 0mm ground clearance.
Weapon 2: Pneumatic flipper powered by CO2.
Strengths: Powerful drive and good strong weapon
Weaknesses: A bit too fast and hard to control when at full speed.
Ground Clearance: 0mm on front, 1cm on sides and back.
Srimech: Invertible.
Notes: The robot is powered by 2 x LEM130 Lynch motors running at 36v, giving 20mph top speeds and 18BHP pushing power. The robot has a total of 6 wheels, 3 on each side. Each side is linked together by a set of heavy duty belts, giving 0m turning circle and the manoeuvrability of a 2 wheeled robot, and each wheel is coated in Vulcalon. The robot carries 4kg of CO2 on board, enough for about 35 flips. The flipper is powered by a 100mm stroke, 80mm bore pneumatic cylinder. This shoul flip around 350kg clean into the air. The flipper is attached to the scoop. The main aim for Mega Monsoon is to be a spinner-killer: stop any spinning weaponry with the scoop and use itsâ‚¬â„¢ phenomenal pushing power to dominate its opponent and eventually flip it OOTA.

Heres one Ive had in the garage for a while:

NAME- SWATbot (HW)
SHAPE- low dome with spike sticking out top
COLOUR- a greyish blue with red visor
WEIGHT- approx 100kg
DIMENSIONS- 85cm X 85cm X 28cm
SPEED- 12mph
TURNING CIRCLE- 0m
GROUND CLEARANCE- 7mm
ARMOUR- 4mm Grade 5 titanium
MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels
POWER- 2 x 750-Watt Bosch motors, running at 36v
WEAPONS- The shell itself. SWATbot is a proper full-body spinner complete with 4 curved teeth ala Pussycat. Its powered by a C40-300 4 MagMotor and can reach speeds of 1000rpm in just about 3 seconds. Ouchie.
SRIMECH- the pneumatic spike on top, combined with the crazy shell, should hopefully get SWATbot back on its wheels if flipped
NOTES- flies the Scotland flag from the spike (indicates which way is forward)
STRENGTHS- very nasty 360 weapon, nippy, manoueverable, decent armour, decent pushing power
WEAKNESSES- control, untested, most likely overweight, possible crazyness rebounding off another bot
