What I fail to understand is why there is such public worry over the recognition of the Islamic court - Is it because it has been brought to their attention?

I think its because of the words sharia court the media using the term mislim abitrator doesnt make quite such a good headline.

Nope, but you get the point I was making. Its interperitation. Whereas law is written as law and therefore should have significantly more clarity.

I would also point out that I am not religious and have no drum to bang on the issue of the bible or any other holy book.
