If stuck for weight and have money, nicads are the best option.
Drill motors?
Drill motors seem to be best for feathers. MW are prob good for wheelchair motors (lots about) or you could always go for the 750s.

Blazer is running 400watt wheelchair motors. EV warriors from the USA seem to be powerfull enough for middleweights and light. If using NiCads then use the Botpacks from Technobots. If not a couple of smallish SLAs.
Im trying to get CIM-2s at 48v to fit. About 2kW per motor.
you cant run 48v under FRA rules as Tanto found out to its almost undoing
we use 1hp wheelchair motors and we can get a 25kg disc in with them, used to be SLAs but we changed to Ni-mh
and the master mr gary cairns comes in and helps me out again! thanks
Carl we may have won it 3 times but there are still other ways to do it. You could try 4 drill motors or something else, jst because our way works for us it doesnt mean its right!
although I think that master is going a wee bit over the top!
36-48v. 48 for RW, 36 for FRA.
