This is my first robot and I keep on meaning/forgeting to ask but should I go for a kenetic weapon such as a wedge or a ramer or should I go for a pnematic weapon like a flipper or a spike

Keep it simple I would suggest, rammer/wedge option would be vastly simpler/cheaper/easier than a pneumatic robot.

I have about 4kg (excluding speed controllers) left could I put on an offenceive weapon if so what type

If you really want you could put in a very simple lifter.

It could be a worm gear setup or a threaded rod and drill motor with a nut on the rod pulling the lifter up (Laser II). Cheap, simple and surprisingly effective if you get under the other bot.
