Enough people have tried. I don't know of anybody keeping with the idea.
I don't know much about Pneumatics, but I'm assuming it easy enough to get enough gas into a robot for a 3minute bout.
You would assume wrong. There is a good reason compressors have a pressure tank, the compressor would not be able to keep up with the cylinder otherwise. With the weight of a pressure tank and a compressor it already is much more sensible to get a fire-extinguisher or a paintball bottle in the robot.
