Simple answer. they probably screw together. amount of treads per inch is the same. 14 per inch.

A CO2 thread has an OD of 21.844 mm. A 1/2 NPT an OD of 21.336mm

Do you want to test the threads with 0.6mm of "diameter missing"?

Don know if I'm saying something silly as I'm not sure I fully understand what you're after, but...you could use this to connect to the paintball valve:

If I understand right, you need an adaptor to screw on a paintball bottle (female 1/2bsp) to get a 90° elbow to a male CO2 extinguisher thread.
So, yes, I do have an idea. Take an old CO2 extinguisher, drill a 11.5mm hole in the center of the "male thread", tap a 1/2 bsp thread in it, cut it off the old valve , and from there it should be a no-brainer.

Tapping, threading, whatever, cutting a thread in a hole, yes, that is what I mean.

BTW, I do have such bronze "adaptors". I use one of those for pretesting heavy setups with compressed air.

Sorry I wasn't clear- the point I was making wa should said in your post to tap a 1/2"BSP thread which would leave almost no wall thickness, I assumed you actually meant 1/4" BSP- but looking at a valve I have it already has a hole in it larger than 11.5, can't quite remember as not at home right now but it was something like 15mm. But I guess the principle would work with a larger thread.

The male part which mates to your co2 nut is DIN477-6 (0.860")
The female part is CGA320, which is interchangeable to 1/2"Bsp, add a 1/2" angle if you need it that way... hope this helps

Which specific Bürket valve do most of you guys use? I'm thinking its the 5404?

Burkert 5404 1/2 BSP , Normaly closed, 24V solenoid overvolted to 36V.

Main supplier, RS components.
