sounds good although i wouldn't recommend syren controllers. they are just single channel versions of sabretooth 2x25 so will probably not be able to handle the speed 900s at 24v. daves rambot satanix uses victor speed controllers. i dunno how many amps speed 900s draw but you'll probably want to work out how current they'll be pulling then look at acceptable speed controllers.

I remember David Weston telling me about Satanix running Speed 900's on drive and I think he said Victor ESC's worked best for him.

Weight might be an issue too, I know that my front scoop is 4mm (I think) steel and is heavier than I expected it would be so covering the whole bot in that might be an issue. Considering it will presumably be fairly big (compared to something like tiny toon/satanix) to fit the 6 wheels in. But I don't know, you might manage it .

EDIT: Ach, Jonny beat me to it

Its the fans on Victors that break very easily. I think the Victors themselves are fine.

I think its a Wotty 100 he is talking about putting in it, thats a new FW speed controller by Ian Watts but was saying it is a bit on the large side, which is why I didn't go for one is Cicatrix. Its a 2 channel 50A per channel ESC.

do you know how much one of those costs tony? sidewinders are nice and compact but a bit ott for a feather although you could always upgrade to 4 speed 900's without changing the speedo (relentless runs this setup) or you could use dewalts and a sidewinder like 540

I'm not 100% on cost, I think they are £200. I have a spec sheet that Ian sent me if you want i'll forward it onto you?

How big and where could I obtain such a device?
