Eye Of Ran II vs. Flick Of The Wrist

From Pontefract, Eye Of Ran II!!
Entered by Joey McConnel
Where does this robots name come from? I dunno, but if you see Eye Of Ran, you better start running! This T-shaped robot of doom is equipped with a deadly bar weapon: a deadly 30kg metre long spinning bar that blends Flywheel logic - by using weight reducing holes to make the outer edge of the blade heavier - with a bar€™s raw power to hit hard and fast - spinning at 2500rpm - and giving off 106kj per hit from those curved teeth shaped hammers at each end of bar! This robot has speed as well, being at 12mph and capable of fantastic acceleration away from it€™s predator, as well as towards it€™s prey, and the 2 wheel drive with both wheels mounted at the front make it easy to keep the blade pointed towards it€™s target! But even if it€™s caught, the 4mm Hardox shell with Polycarbonate overlayer over a Ti/V box section chassis make this a tough not to crack. Rear/side wedges serve as additional weapons to push with, and it€™s nearly impossible to attack this robot without being hit by the blade, but underneath the blade is a 5mm ground clearance and in a straight pushing match this robot could find itself staring defeat in the face.

From Enschede, The Netherlands, Flick Of The Wrist!!

One flick of the wrist and you€™re a goner! Flick Of The Wrist is a 6 wheeled, high-powered rammer which uses 2 major weapons - first of all, the B42-500 MagMotors at 48V, providing awesome 35hp and speeds of 22mph to cross the floor quickly. The second set of weapon are a pair of Hardox lifting spikes with the ends tipped with diamonds to make them mega-sharp and have the ability to get under the lowest of skirting. The forks are 25cm each, and can be lowered so they push the whole robot up so it can move on the back wheels, or they can be set parallel to the ground, making them as effective spikes - the whole robot produces 5kj of force when ramming something at full speed, and can cause some damage! Damge is prevented by 7mm Titanium covering every bit of the robot. A 1cm clearance may be exploitative€¦if you can live that long€¦

Roboteers, stand by!!!

3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!

Flick Of Thw Wrist is move forward by a flick of Martijn€™s joystick€¦and his machine is hurdling across the arena straight into the backward facing Eye Of Ran€¦SMACK! Wow, what an opening start, and already the Challenge Belt holder is in immediate trouble, has the blade, still spinning is stopped on the wall! And the amazing horsepower output is helping pin Joey€™s machine is there; he is forced to go away, buy quickly Joey€™s machine has lost fans€™ favour to Flick, and may soon loose the fight. Flick is now seeming to give up keeping the blade from gaining speed, as he thunders to the pit release button, but Joey is now on the attack, the blade viciously spinning€¦AND IT HITS THE SIDE OF FLICK OF THE WRIST; the panel is beaten harshly, and nearly taken off. Does this deter Martijn though? The answer is quickly €˜no€™ as he lowers the forks and drive again at Eye Of Ran while the blade is slightly slowed, and thunders him against the wall. The forks are also underneath the front€¦and they come in€¦the wheels of Eye Of Ran are off the ground - could this be the end of the reign of Eye Of Ran - and Martijn seems to have the perfect line-up for the pit...AND HE TAKES IT! Eye Of Ran is slammed onto the edge of the pit before sliding in! Joey smiles as his Challenge Belt reign comes to an end, and the reign of Martijn begins!

Result:
Eye Of Ran II is blinded by the light of his opponent!
FLICK OF THE WRIST STEALS THE CHALLENGE BELT!!!
