Thread: Technical feather stuff

    What about this bottle? http://www.store.justpaintball.co.uk...pin-valve.html
And for a ram, I was wondering where I could get one from that's high pressure; could someone send me a link for one, I'll keep looking too.

you would probably have to get one custom made to cope with the pressure. hydraulic rams are fine though but they are very heavy

Found a Hydraulic cylinder with spring return, weighs 1.5kg on right stroke size:

Found an HP Gas Bottle too:

I had a look at the ram.
If I'm correct, it's the 82.5mm stroke 5 ton variant. Bore is 28mm, means 320 kg of force with CO2.
Total length 165mm, and 1.5 kg.

To compare. Hannibalito III uses a 51*85 ram, 1 ton of force. Total length is 145mm, and that's including the 1/2 inlet and the thick top plate that acts as part of the frame.(that hydraulic ram uses a 3/8 npt) Weight, less than 1 kg

The aquarium CO2 bottle looks like a standard paintball bottle. So, a good deal with that pricetag.

I suppose its a bit of a trade off on weight/ability compared to cost. Can't see a cost on that page though so would need to ask them before comparing it to the price of a custom one, then if its all suitable I suppose its your choice from there.

It costs £214.02 if you add the £7.50 P&P & the VAT. How much would a custom one cost?

Depends on size, but less is a fair remark.

Not that many people willing/capable to supply custom FP rams tough.

Where could I get one from?

I stumbled across this lot yesterday and they seem to be fairly decent with a nice 16 bar pressure maximum. Bore and stroke isn't too shabby either. They are a tad on the heavy side by the looks of them though.

Thanks, but their pressure limit, 16 bar, is low. I need a higher pressure ram.
Does anyone know where I could get an HP pressure relief valve?
