Out of the ashes of the robot New Tron,(that got wiped out by little spinner ) comes the new robot Gabriel. It will be a Feather electric Axe, sword or what ever I happen to have in the garage type.
Will keep people informed of it's progress in the next few weeks.

This sounds interesting. I plan to make an electric axe bot in the future, so any ideas on motors and things yet?

It is going to be made out of the New Tron wreckage so it will be another big wheeled robot. using the same weapon motor (150w) as the New Tron spinner. the linkage is of a type not to my knowledge used on any other robot, the idea is to make the axe head light but fast.
Gabriel goes with the Angelic/Saint names I give all my robots.
Hope to have some pictures soon.

Story so far, the base plate from the old robot is OK and the weapon shaft assembly is not bent too bad
so that is going in the new robot the equipment pods are larger this time so they should not be so tight to get all the equipment in them
the pod on the right is for the batteries and the pod on the left is for the radio and control electronics.

Yes I just love the idea of running over the little tin snails whacking them with the axe as I go by, and they can't do anything

I sent Seraph OOTA in the first round fight of the 2010 UK Champs, without a gas bottle or pneumatic ram in sight. Surely that counts?
