You don't need a super-duper, expensive, well-engineered robot to do well in a full-combat championship. If ever there was an example of the basic-bot underdog winning, just look at Bitza's fight with Little Spinner 4 at the 2011 FW champs. It even finished joint 10th (albeit with five or six other robots!) while several more elaborate machines and seasoned veterans slumped down the table.

Yes, my robot is Pretty badly machined but it still survived!

i think if i kept my 4mm steel rear to the front then i could take a hit from a spinner and they will probably bouce out
