flipper triggers

I was wondering what people use for the external flipper trigger(I dont know what people call them), I have seen them plugged in to the back of the transmitters but I dont have a clue about the wireing and stuff. So please can someone telll me how to make one?

You use channel 5.
You open the transmitter up and desolder the switch used for channel 5 and use a switch of your own.

the switch for thor is the style that comes to mind for me. how would you make something like that/were would you buy it?

A weapon-buddy box. Did that back in 2001 for the Project series of heavies.

Simple enough. The trigger/buddybox is an old commodore 64 joystick with the base removed.
Originaly, I put parallel wiring over the 7th channel of de Multiplex Commander 2020 TX and routed that over a 3.5mm earphone plug. The TX has the plug, the joystick handle has a meter or so stereo headphone wire and the jack.

But now, that buddybox is mated to a Spectrum DX6 and the 2 triggers are made seperate so you can command 2 actions.

With modern technology, I wouldn't be surprised if creative minds and hands can make such a setup wireless.

Oeps, with the current pricetags of the 2.4GHz RX/TX sets, why bother, just buy 2 and get the wiring in the robot a tad creatieve

The most creative buddybox I ever have seen, was the weaponcommand of Krab bot.

because you can find that the two receivers can interfere with each other. We had a probelm in dtk with a dx3/dx5e combo and for some reason it kept running away depending on which one you switched on or off first etc etc.

It's all about resistance really, It normally just needs a resistor onto the back of the transmitter. Will have a look and see how we did it in hydra cos i the we do actually use two switches on one channel.
