Heavyweight spinners?

just wondering when these got banned and why?

is there any sign of them being allowed back into the arena any time soon?

Safety, not so much banned as such, there just isn't an arena that can contain them.

RR have been done reduced level spinner demos with SMIDSY though.

if some now rules were brought in to limit the size/power of the spinners then we could see them back in the arena?

I think the way RR were doing it was running them at very reduced power, I remember someone saying the disc was running at 7% (could be wrong on that though) on a bot that was part of them demo. Your idea would be something that the EO's themselves decided on I think.

You need to have an arena of the correct grade before spinning discs can take part. Grade 1 arenas are heavy and difficult to transport, setup and run hence why no one runs them atm.

The rules for the grades are in the safety section of the FRA site.
