ok, new problem
when everything is all plugged in and wired up nothing seems to happen, the battery is fully charged and it responds with the corect lights but the motors do not move, i am realy stumped
Seperate battery for the receiver?
Signal wire and Black to the XL from the receiver ...NO RED ?
Just in case one motor has developed a short circuit and the XL is instantly current limiting ...a test of your motors by connecting to a battery ...
Plug a servo into the receiver port just to check that your outputting a signal.
i am using a seperate rx battery anyway but i will try those things, thanks very much

Robotpower doesn't offer the XXL atm, but I can ask Ilyama if he knows more.
You had it working, I saw the video on youtube, can you remember what you've done to it since then ?
i found on the flip channel the black wire had come off, but i didn't use it anyway could this cause the problem?
