where would I get wire and connectors, and which type?

I think you would only need Y leads if you were running 4wd with your speed controllers controlling 1 left and one right wheel each. Is that whats happening? In which case I think giant cod is the place for decent priced servo y-leads.

For the batteries just use deans connectors and make a parallel circuit with them, no need for any special sort of connector or lead to do that.

should have asked a long time ago but does the electonize 30a have 2 motor outputs or 1

nope but what you do is connect both motors up together + to + etc

then connect the elctronize to one of the motors
