    Hmmm, that looks fairly horrific, I don't think I would have made such an obvious mistake.

    I took 2 of them apart when I was putting the O-ring in them, then took it out when I got the grub screws. The other 2 I already had the screws so I just used them without taking the whole thing to bits.

    That was my thought, which is why I was pretty sure it was a manufacturing issue. Glad I noticed it too, otherwise your robot wouldn't be going anywhere

    The ones Jamie has posted a picture of are Argos ones run at 19.2V.

    change plastic gears to metal ones, tape up the holes in the rear of the motor and make sure there are no small metal shavings or particles added to the gearbox when you disassemble it. If you have to, then clean everything until it is spotless and reassemble using brand new grease. Silicon or copper grease works fine. O and make sure the right gears go in the right stages.

    Or you could pay someone to make them for you, but that would be expensive So yes cannibalism is the way forward.

    or ask someone nice that happens to have a bunch spare from old gearboxes..... ie me :P

    drop me a pm with a pic of the gear you are looking for a replacement and i'll see if i have some i can spare.
