Wheel chair motors, batteries and wheels

Presumably while this was a wheelchair it could turn, and not just go back and forward so how is it managing that? Can the diff lock one of the wheels to allow it to turn?

Also what about the batteries are they no use to you. According to the spec sheet they are sealed lead acid so can be used? handy if your looking to keep the price down.

Just use the bottom half of the wheelchair and put a wedge at the front. I'll battle you with Scar and we can have a very slow and boring battle with no damage done to one another whatsoever
