Wheel chair motors, batteries and wheels

I have been offered a fully working wheel chair and was wondering if any of the parts in the title would be usable as I can just over time start to collect bits for a heavyweight

Motors are a definite yes, I am using them on Scar and also have a new set on the way. Wheels, I suppose so yeah they will attach straight on and, if they're free you cant go wrong with that. Batteries, maybe, though I havent used them. Using the setup as it is almost guarantees that it will work, and will also keep the costs down. If you decide at some point that some or all of the parts can be upgraded and you're enjoying the world of heavies, then go for it. Thats would be my thinking anyways.

If I were to use those, add another set of wheels and make it 4wd I could be onto a robot that might hold it's own as a pusher in the arena?

jack orr had a 4wd hw pusher driven by wheelchair motors and i think that beat dantomkia

My wheelchair motors are currently stationary (I think the last time they worked was on Robot Wars series 4 ) but from what ive heard there are better options out there for pushing power. But by no means useless

If I made it investable with 8mm steel armour, I think it would work?

all i would be after to start with is a robot that can just hold its own in the arena when eventually upgrade to a flipper system similar to merlin
