No it won't Jonno. I will be there to assist my teammates, but no I'm not bringing my robots to the event.

Hi Guys,

The event at the O2 is going to completely change the way we do things, we are going to back to the €œ good old days €œ with loading pens, driving into and out of the arena ( where possible if you have wheels left on your robot ), to hopefully speed things up inbetween the fights.
With the new format it is envisaged that we are trying to remove the 10 minute wait while robots are disarmed, taken out, new ones in, armed up etc€¦.
We want to provide the audience with a constant flow of fights, and more value for their money, but we need your help with this.

Trying to fit in the UK champs and provide this new level of Entertainment has been hard, we all want 1v1 fights, but they just arent entertaining for an audience. however I think we have found a balance. I will go into more detail about each show nearer the time, but here€™s a quick summary of how it will work.

Every individual show at the O2 will end with a final, with a trophy being fought for, this will be separate to any UK champ fights.
We will be planning for every robot to be available to fight in every show, be it for a comp fight, or a white board. ( subject to still working )

9 pods of 4 fight in the arena in the first round in a 4way fight.
The winner of the fight will go through to the next round.
The second place will be put into the looser melees.

The 9 losers will be split into 3 x 3way fights with the winner from each fight going back into the competition. ( 3 back in )
We now have 12 robots through to the next round in total.

3 x 4 way fights again, with the winner and second going through, and the 3rd and 4th place going into looser fights.
2 x 3 way looser fight with one winner from each going back into the competition.
We now have 8 robots left.

Third place 1v1
Final 1v1
