Thread: were to buy O rings

    in after some O rings for the insides of my gearboxes but dont know were to buy them, any help?

    how would i go about locking the gear boxes with grub screws?

    so you just screw them into all the little holes?

    what size screws would i need for a argos drill motor?

    and did you see any improvment with drive etc?

    o rings have more chance of slipping and degrading. Grub screws work well. I used m5 on mine. You tighten them until the output shaft doesn't rotate in your hands. Be careful that you don't go too far as you will start to push the body of the drill away from the front plate on the motor.

    Well it gives you all the torque the drill can muster unlike an o-ring or the standard torque limiter which will slip under heavy load, good if you want to protect expensive components but not so good in a pushing match.

    in a robot using drills for drive i fail to see where the expensive components are :P
