Well been along time comming (yes dad... by shane) so i thought id just give a little update of whats been going on ....

The robot has worked well for the last two years but not to its full potential ....

Now running on descent tyres to give more tracktion has the torque but had no push due to smooth tyres .... well thats a thing off the past ...

New batteries now running A123's and jumpt up to 36V so more speed too .......
...and talking off A123 had a problem with one pack that would not charge channel 1 cell count not right or some such voodoo ,,,,
so i checked and found that 1 cell was registering 0.000000000000000v it was dead so very carfully i use my supernova charger to put some volts into the 1 duff cell managed to get 1.5v into it and then hey guess what ....the pack now charges and the charger pick up that the cell was very low but its now charging as a pack ..... YAY

so now all thats left is to mount the new batteries and test it at Barnsley .......

    Hi Terry

we got 3 packs @2.4amps in parrellel so giving 7.2amps @36v...
unfortunateley the pack went down in the first fight so we were only on 2 packs in the next fight and they ran ok .....new tyres did nothing spectacular though so more thought needed on that one ......and we have 1 charger a cellpro 10s....

ive got the same batteries but only 9 c per pack, i was going to put in 4 packs
but if you have enough power with 3 then i might save the weight and not put the 4th in.
I havent had time to make it anyway !. Ive the cellpro 10s aswell seems really good, funny
how at the end of charge the cells are still cool im used to charging the nicads untill nice and toastie !
