scooter motor for my axe bot

hi all

i have been planning to make an axe bot powered by scooter motor for ages now but only just got to designing it properly. got a few questions:

what rpm does a 24v scooter motor have? (haven't actually bought my motor yet)
i was thinking of making a gear box for it, good plan?? and should i work from the desired axe head speed or the other way ie through the gear box ratio??

i think each scooter motor will be different. you should check the specs or ask the supplier.

Mine spin at 2700 and no i cant give a link sorry. although im sure there are all made in the same Chinese factory as the majority are identical, that i have come across.

Mines 2750 but i think the range from about 2500 to 3000

Yeah still trying to get a gearbox made for me

make sure you get a decent one. ordered 2 which are not powerful enough to self right.
