Thread: Power Light

  1. #1
    Hello all!

I know this may seem trivial but I'm struggling to think of a logical way to wire in a power light into our 24v system?

    My thoughts so far are...

LED's run at 5v, so I should get a BEC on both speed controllers, use one for the receiver and the other to power the on light.

There must be a better way than this!

    Any ideas?

Also does anyone post their wiring schematics on this forum?

    Cheers,

    Buy a 24V LED? :P

EDIT: It's not a proper schematic, more so a bit of a crude Appleworks drawing, but this is the wiring diagram for the old Drumroll:

Yeh a 24v LED would do it! Shame about the bag of 5v LED's I have............

Cheers for the drawing, just wanted to check I wasn't missing something vital!

Is there anything in the rules that say you can't earth against the metal frame of your robot, a bit like wiring up a car?

    Thanks,

In parallel or series? I can see it getting very hot!

    Cheers,

Could I make my own link? The rules on this seem kinda vague. Could I do it with say, a break in the series connection between batteries that is linked with a short piece of wire connected by (sturdy!) terminals?

you could make your own but its much easier to just buy one.. there not to expensive. You could just use a fuse and a fuse holder,

or buy an anderson / deans / power pole etc.
