Thread: FAIL SAFE

  1. #1
Hi I have been asking Paul the technical guy from Technobots about a radio fail safe for the new heavy weapon. The reply was.

Failsafe work by detecting (as a minimum) if the pulse width is outside of a 'healthy' signal. Typically this would be say 0.9 to 2.1mS. You need to make sure that your receiver outputs a value that is outside of this range when the transmitter is turned off. Some receiver systems hold last value which means a failsafe would not operate.

Dose the DX5e receiver go out of these limits when the Tx is switched off? I am using the throttle channel

    Thanks

    Craig

why cant you just use one of the channels as an on off switch ?
on toxic i use futaba 2.4ghz, the 3rd channel goes into failsafe if no signal is received, this channel
was suppost to be a throttle for a heli but its connected to a switch on my transmitter, it turns the robot on and off and that channel also turns my watty on and off aswell.
failsafe and remote switch all in 1 !
    c u tomorrow.
