Haha, nah don't worry. I'm sticking with low pressure 10 bar stuff for starting out. Negotiating a Trev reg for one of the bottles

Joey, that cylinder sounds like a good mix between bore and stroke that could fit the design quite well. Is it something you'd consider selling? If so, any chance you could weigh it pretty please?

Nice to see that layout though - I've always wanted to see a Steg 2 replica...

Update

Also planning to make some headway on the beetle this weekend; I've got enough parts to throw together a rolling chassis so aiming to get that running by Sunday.

Wow, for once I actually manage to do what I say I'm gonna do!

Introducing Paws:





The current setup is as follows:

4 x MFA 15:1 motors from Technobots with
4 x Banebots 60mm diameter wheels
1 x Hyperion 3S lipo pack (11.1V)
1 x Scorpion XL

The XL is just a temporary controller until I get something more beetle-specific. Running on that setup, it is pretty nippy for its size. Currently weighs 650g which leaves just over half the weight allowance for the rest of the chassis/armour and its weapon, so it's gonna be tight! May have to look at ditching two motors and running belt drives but I'll worry about that if the issue arises.
