well Rockys going to be over weight (i mean REALLY over weight) it weighs 1150grams with out the drum and battery.....

How heavy do you plan to make the drum?!

If I ever make a drum spinner beetleweight robot I'd aim for at least a quarter of the robot's weight in the weapon. I say that because Drumroll's drum was in the order of 4Kg, right? And it's brilliantly destructive, so I'd want no less than say... 300grams in the weapon.

I'm all talk and no build, though, lol.

The Blade on Spinza is around 300g and I'm right on the limit. 180 on the other hand has a 650g spinning weapon (so half!) but that's due to some act of God, I sure don't know how that was made possible.

yeh, i just weighed the drum, it weighs 800grams.... lol a tad over weight me thinks....

Yeah it was 4.2kg. Completely by accident though, I was expecting it to be more around the 3kg mark. Had to drill/cut lots of holes and take the second weapon motor out to fit the drum and not be overweight. But the power that thing packs made it worth it. Then Gary goes and sticks a big-ass brushless on it.......

180 is twise as small as your beetle , so less material less weight..
