So is there going to be an event soon? I know there was talk about taking the arena to the Guildford event, but havent heard much since.

Did customs give you any trouble?
Probably best if you have a beetleweight, just to take it along. If the arena's there, the arena's there. If not, you could always just run in a small section of the RR arena between shows or something.Originally Posted by Bodge Job

Any use?
I've got a set of those in one I'm building atm. Not wired them up so can't say if they are good bad or whatever. They are a good size for kilobots and pretty easy to make brackets for (bend a bit of 2mm ali and drill the holes out) and the banebots wheels fit quite nicely onto them.Originally Posted by typhoon_driver
i beleive some australian beetles use them
Nope- never had any problems with customs when ordering via RMP... They send parcels labeled as toys or replacement toy components apparently...that way customs don't really bother checkingOriginally Posted by PJ-27

Awesome!
Been having a play around withe Team Cosmos KE calculator;
http://www.teamcosmos.com/ke/ke.shtml
(Had to use IE and a Windows machine, nothing else would work!)
And I get a calculation of about 6000 Foot Poundals and 280 Joules.
Firstly these numbers are any thing but arbitrary to me, they mean nothing. Are they any good? Can someone give me some scale?
Secondly I thought 1 Joule = 1 Newton-Meter but a foot pound is about 1.3 newton meters, which gives me a Joules calculation more like 8100?
Confused!
Poundals are a measure of force not torque (ft lb /s^2) so foot poundals are a measure of energy.
