works for me
works for me
Sounds good
I would probably try to stop this type as it doesn't walk very well
well surely that should be down to the roboteer to figure out for themselves? The rules should only generally define the mechanism. If someone creates a machine which fits the rule then it should be allowed to run.
Also how does that one differ to the mechanism in anarchy?
As you said earlier
This is the main problem though. If I turn up at an event with a machine that is in essence a cam with a leg attached (skuttle from technogames) am I going to get any weight advantage? I think most people would argue no but then where do we draw the line? Just to clarify I was meaning a very basic cam system for a few kilo. Anything with the complexity of the pilgrim would require a great deal more weight
So in answer to this previous question you asked, I am trying to find consensus as to were the line is drawn. and giving an example of were in my opinion the mechanism dose not come up to specification.![]()
Anarchy has a system were the leg is actuated by 2 cranks one for leg lift, and another for leg stroke, the example I gave only has the one crank per leg. Hence the walking gait is not that good.
hope that clears it up for you![]()
didn't see the lever at the top instead of a crank
No problem Gary, I'm glad to have cleared that up.![]()
Am I right to assume that this will be discussed and a final decision made at the next FRA meeting?
Hi Gary
It has been a very interesting discussion to watch, it has just proven to me again that in order to guage opinions on any issue, this is the best place for it.
I have no problem putting this forward to the committee at the next meeting, I'll run through the discussion again & put something together that can be proposed to the committee. I will post it on here before that, for any final comments or suggestions
John
Why? It's just a wonky wheel.Originally Posted by Bodge Job
