ARC vs FRA, Battle of the Ages

Sorry, but I've held back for long enough. Since Joey does not wish to get involved in these kinds of debates any longer I'll have to step into his place. And I don't like to. Joey is better at these kinds of arguments than I am. :P Anyway...I've had enough of Mark's fail and Lian's constant defending of it.

*rant mode*

I hope you realize that I don't care about going out much, it's when the fight is fail and unrealistic that I have to say something. And it wasn't just mine. All four fights were fail, no matter who won or lost.

Let's just use the first fight as an example:

Fail 1: Mina gets over to the side of Cupid, immediately flipping it into the air, and stopping that disc from spinning up. And how exactly did Mina flip Cupid if Mina didn't get under Cupid? And how would that immediately stop a disc? Cupid should have gotten away easily.

Fail 2: Shane's got a small chunk of titanium missing from the front of Mina's flipper? Titanium's behaviorisms aren't like that. It's very hard to carve into titanium, let alone tear chunks of it out. Even with a powerful spinner like Megabyte.

Half-fail 1: But nothing seems to *phase* her, as she once again *get's* under and flips Cupid. Not counting that as a full fail but that's over-emphasis right there. :P

Fail 3: And after all that money Mentorn paid to fix that wall in the Storm II vs Typhoon 2 fight, they'll have to pay even more, as Cupid's disc shatters the wall. You can't shatter an entire wall, at best you can take out one of the many wall panels like Typhoon 2 did. Be more descriptive.

Fail 4: Since this is a written-out FRA fight, to make it fair, we'll use the ARC judging system. And exactly how is that fair? And besides how can you judge an FRA fight using an ARC scorecard? It doesn't make sense.

And Lian, if you knew the kinds of battles we've written and fail ones we've all barked at in the past, and if you knew how much we've tried to give Mark advice and watch it be ignored, you'd know exactly why we think poorly of Mark's fights and argue. You're sick of the argument? Well we're sick of his fail fights. So please stop defending him from what he deserves. :P

i did have one problem with marks battle when i was fighting with druid, where it went out of control, but i didnt
complain cos

1) the bot was a bit crap anyways *heads for the virtual workshop for improvements*
and 2) i lost to a great newcomer in all bar one :P

Well that's tough luck for you right there; while the post was directed at Mark, it's supposed to be there for EVERYONE to see. If you don't want to read it, scroll by it. :P

Forgot to mention...like I said on ARC (before that post got deleted for some reason ), I have no issue with Mark personally at all. My only beef (and several others) with him is his ability, or lack thereof, to create bots/tournaments and ignore/not recognize advice. That is all.

I am faster than he is and accelerate quicker, and I have 2 wheels, he has 6, so I turn around alot quicker too

which means I can get under him with ease, and he will have more trouble getting under me since I can outrun him and out-turn him, be quick, be agile, do not give him an oppurtunity to get under me, I will try to get under him, flip him, either on his back where he will be helpless until he self righted, or OOTA where... you know... I can claim victory

if he flips me I am far from helpless as Im invertible AND can selfright, thats another advantage, dont open the pit...
