I was laughing away happily at these until I remembered my own faux pas in answering an exam question.

Aeronautical Engineering, 1st year at uni:

A. The purpose of high-lift devices is to generate extra lift (so far so good) This is particularly useful if the aircraft encounters any tall buildings during its flight because the pilot can simply activate the high-lift devices and gain extra lift to fly over them.

Yes, because aircraft flying at 37,000ft are regularly going to be encountering tall buildings...
Can you tell who didn't really study for that one? Most likely the same person who must've dropped his logic on the way into uni

Not as bad as my friend though, who didn't know how to answer the section regarding space (rockets and whatnot) so he drew a picture of the moon and a rocket flying towards it to pass the time. Apparently the head of the department didn't approve of that too much!
