Metal bar for the front seems pretty cheap. I'll get some of that. I think I might go with the .9 steel due to cost constraints, and also as I don't mind a few dents.

edit - just a thought; how would I attach that bar to the steel? Rivets? Tapped holes and bolts? I can do anything apart from welding.
