a bit off topic but hows mortis coming along?

Mortis wont ever be battle ready but will try and get it a running chassis this winter for next years events. Got all the gear to do it just doing it. The new mortis will try and get it done. i should stop rebuilding envy and sort that out really.

Whipping up 2 more v8 coffee tables and will put them on ebay. Getting better at tig welding and will start my new project when i have got the stainless. New motors ordered for envy and the rebuild starts wednesday. Thor has a new ram, 125mm bore. shorter stroke and facing to the rear of the robot instead of forward. Nice few jobs to keep us busy through winter.

Gonna try the world of feathers. Just dont see teambud winning the heavy champs so will try for the feather weight instead and relieve Alex of that nice trophy.

Rear hinge flipper on low pressure with high flow rate. Hope to get a dewalt drive but will see. My tig welding skills are improving by the day so i am confident enough to go down the Ti route for chassis and armour.

Will post in the build diary when we get underway. Jason is in charge of the weapon and i will do the drive and chassis.

Envy has started its rebuild so will have a new robot with new motors for the new year. Thor is having a rebuild on the axe mech to try and iron out 1 or 2 small flaws.

Looking forward to next year roboteering.

Robots Live should do another event like Ipswich one the Grimms did...my personal opinion it was the most enjoyable event of 2010 and would love to do it all again.
