BATTLE TWO

From Glasgow, in Scotland, Traffic Warden!

They've won the Annihilator. Can they win the All Stars Championships? It's an odd box shaped robot with two clamps at the front. It's well armoured, but has a high ground clearance.

From Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire, Tornado!

Runners up this series, former champions of Robot Wars. They have interchangable weapons. For this fight, they'll be using the anti crusher frame with spinning disc. It is unreliable, though.

From Edinburgh, in Scotland, Typhoon II!

Former champions also, but they came fourth this series. It has a destructive spinning shell with four cutting blades. But if the shell is stopped, it can be flipped easily and has no self-righting mechanism.

Roboteers, stand by!

B1: Traffic Warden, Tornado
B2: Typhoon II
House Robots: Sir Killalot and Mr Psycho

3-2-1: Activate!

Typhoon II and Tornado spin up to full speed. Traffic Warden goes straight for Tornado though and as they come together, the disc makes contact with Traffic Warden and the sparks fly! Traffic Warden pushes Tornado into the angle grinder, but they escape! Typhoon II seems to be staying out of the way here, only to be shoved by Tornado! The sparks fly once again as their weapons collide. Tornado pushes Typhoon II towards the CPZ! The anti crusher frame has done a good job of protecting it so far, Tornado. Typhoon II gets away as Sir Killalot comes in and grabs hold of Tornado's frame! Oh dear! Typhoon II isn't spinning, and Traffic Warden takes advantage, shoving the former champion into the pit release button. But the main worry here is Tornado, who is being pulled by Sir Killalot towards the pit! Sir Killalot shouldn't do that! Refbot, go in and sort it out! Sir Killalot lets Tornado go anyway, but how much damage did Tornado take? The frame looks twisted. Typhoon II isn't spinning, and neither is the disc on Tornado. They come together again and Tornado pushes Typhoon II towards the flame pit. The former champions, with Gary Cairns and Jack Orr have a real fight on to regain their status here! Typhoon II is away from the flame pit, only to be pushed by Traffic Warden. Towards the pit! OH! Typhoon II just avoided it, but Traffic Warden is on the edge! JUST escaping! Tornado comes in to push Typhoon II once again and OOH! This is so close, as Typhoon was nearly in the pit again and Tornado, what has Tornado done!? They've driven over the pit! Traffic Warden smashes into the back of them but Tornado won't go down. It won't go down because the frame is keeping them from going in! Tornado is hanging on the edge here! The judges look on. I don't think Tornado is out, but Mr Psycho comes in. He brings his hammer down and OOH! Ha ha. Tornado still won't go in! The last ten seconds count down. Refbot can't count Tornado out because there isn't enough time, but this hasn't happened before in Robot Wars! The judges will have to decided. What a fight!

Cease!

Controversy in the warzone. Tornado was hanging over the pit, but the frame stopped them from going in. The judges have decided, that Tornado was not in the pit, but is was immobolised for more than 30 seconds! So Tornado goes out and Traffic Warden and Typhoon II go through!

This is the lineup for Round Two:

Macduff the 4th VS Typhoon II
Firestorm V VS Traffic Warden

See you then, but first, a note

This battle was very controversial, and I'm not too sure of it myself. If, in Razer VS Tornado (S6 Final), Razer had left Tornado over the pit, would Tornado have been in the pit? (There wouldn't have been enough time to count it out or deem it immobile). Feel free to rant and rave about it as much as you like. It's been a stressful halfterm, I'm afraid
