calum- yeah i changed the bearings for needle rollers and a bigger shaft and it seems ok so far...made up a spare set too lol

Jamie- yeah its getting there, did the hard bit today, need to spend another hour on a lathe and it'll be done

same design as the old one, but the shaft side of it should be a bit stronger....might change the brushless motor for a higher KV version... i want to hit over 10,000rpm with it

got mini gimp of tom, fitted brushless, changed the drive escs and rx etc and re-wired it all today;

got a few grams left for teeth on the disc, few more if i take the magnets out.

When I saw the original pic of Mini gimp I thought it had a metal base, but that was for the kilobot I presume.

Banebots can go down to 3g each with the heatshrink off, and there is a lot more weight to be lost in that wiring and taking heatshrink off the lipo. Just some advice so you can get some good teeth in the weight.
