That comment was tongue in cheek mate but you are absolutely right in what you say about it. It was only Clive being Faceacious that bought me into this thread

As I've not even looked inside a spinner (except to remove SMIDSY's disc) I might just consider it a bit lethal for what we would want anyway.

Pneumatics and electronics are not an issue because we have the skills for that in the team. For spinners we would need to learn about it before even considering something like that, which as you say means building it. Plus..................big old li-po's, it's ok blowing a 100mAh lipo up on the kitchen table because it has no significant fire load, just causes a bad case of brown underpants and leaves a scorch mark but we don't and wont be running the big uns cos there's kids in our team and people who like 'to be helpful'
