I think they might just be the best to fit with all the other components. But I MIGHT some get other motors too, but they might be quite expensive :| .

Actually it is aimed for 80cm L, 50cm W, and 20cm H.Originally Posted by craig_anto
to be completely honest , those motors you have are not going to work at all , if you have very small wheels , a very light bot and the motors you get are high torque and low rpm , it might just pooter along , but its going to be no use in a battle. sorry
You're trying to rebuild 1 of the robots from Series 1? Sweet!
I agree with Tom on the motors being weak. If you want, try some Astroflights. They're sturdy motors for their weight.
yeh but an astroflight costs about as much as an entire fw rambot
Could I use MFA Como drills 919D 11:1 motors instead?Originally Posted by muchalucha
They'd be a bit towards the weak end of the power scale, but they'd get you moving which is more than the hobby motors would.
oliver steeple's web page gives some detail on the original WYSIWYG: http://freespace.virgin.net/oliver.s...ts/wysiwyg.htm
It looks like it used 550 size motors with chain or belt reduction.
Where those motors geared on the old W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G?
Yeah, they were geared down with the chains/belts
