Next year spinners will dominate. The next generation of spinner is upon us. People are already becoming scared of spinners, I mean lets take 360 for example, probably one of the most feared fw robots ever... And its not even finished. How about Hornet 2, look at the destruction that robot has caused, And thats nothing compared to what Garys new spinner is going to do. Guess us spinner lads are going to have to stick together, I think we got somthing to prove now. Then we can have our vertical vs horizontal war

We need some way of keeping our spinners in the arena. Both Savage Evo and 360 have thrown themselves out of the arena so far.

Next year
If it's not spinning, Its not winning.
Right?

Hi All,

What a great week-end we had. Shame about the mosfet going on Little Spinner which completely fried the batteries for the weapon. We didnt do as well as hoped on the dragsters but Graeme and Mark have big ideas for next year, with possibly even a sit on if we can get sponsorships. Well done to all the winners and a big thank you for Robo Challenge for putting on the event.

Damn right

I was gonna say that's why vertical is better, because you can't throw yourself out of the arena. But then I remembered Hornet's done that twice already so I guess that puts paid to that theory

Think magnets is the way to go, especially since the only spinner-safe arena has a metal floor. It worked well for 360 in March, the only drawback being its drive motors didn't have enough grunt to move the extra downforce.

Its time for the next generation; 2010, a new decade, a new spinner era. Although I'm realistic enough to know that our new spinners probably won't work perfectly at their first event, if we can find any problems and eradicate them quickly then we'll get a winning spinner soon.

I'm not scared of 360 but I am impressed by it and love to watch and fight it.

Bring it on guys, you've hardly scratched the hardox, and i've still got a kilo to play with! :twisted:

I had a great time, i should of done the drag racers years ago! Plenty of ideas to improve it for next year, and will certainly be bringing a ride-on. Well done to the winners of the Tag Team, time for a new G3 i think though!

Better spinners? Outstanding! Bring them on. And let's hope for a second arena that can safely hold them so we can get more competitions open to all weapons.
