Due to some conferring with another excellent tourney writer(who will remain anonymous), I have decided to start this tourney.

Ramminator Evilution vs System Shock V: Hex

Heat 3:

Storm 2 vs Typhoon
The 2nd Revenge of Black Death vs Brutalis 2.1

Heat 4:

Megabyte vs CrOokEd
Blue Hurricane vs Apocalypse II

Gimme your Tactics, predictions, and Thoughts. I can't start without 'em.

Forget the arena. It's the Robot Wars Series 6 Arena, with the bumper instead of the tyre.

Flip it once, push it around. It'll be useless on its back.

Sewer Snake vs Razer

Use the fork attachment, lift it onto its back and ram its arse around the arena.

Storm II vs Typhoon 2

Intentional rematch much? :P Open the pit, and get it down. No playing around with it.

Destroy the sucker. :P

My initial thoughts are that that draw seems to be in no way random; all the fights are either Liam vs. Samuel or Jack vs. Kody

If that is indeed the final draw (assuming you don't decide to redraw it more randomly), my predictions for the first heat are as follows:

Iron Awe 5 vs. Tornado
...Chaos 2 vs. Tornado anyone? :P Iron Awe to win via the sides of the arena.

Whiplash vs. Maximum Genocide
I don't think Sam's axe will be all that useful against a...spinning thing...with a spinning thing going the other way on top of it, but Whiplash's armour seems fairly decent so it has time to push and/or rebound Maximum Genocide into somewhere it doesn't want to go. Those skirts won't last too long though...bit close to call but if it goes to the judges Maximum Genocide will win on damage.

tornado: ram him from the rear and sides, push him into cpz's or into side walls (something might pop out... ) if i cant finish him that way i'll open the pit and push him in im running the disk set up here, dont stray to far away from the middle (keep away from side walls (unless IM pushing lol ) )

typhoon:lol spin up and try and k.o him, if all else fails ram the side walls!!!

razer: crush, if not koed push into teh pit

CroOkEd: go for the O.O.T.A! push into cpz of pit if necessary!

Our first match will be very interesting: Iron Awe 5 vs Whiplash

Iron Awe 5 is a fantastic flipping bot, and has successfully won at least 1 major FRA championship match.

Whiplash is relatively new machine, and fully prepared to mangle with its 7kg Terrorhurtz-like Battle Axe.

3...2...1...Activate!!!

Iron Awe drives straight forward and attempts to get under the skirts of Whiplash. That doesn't work, as Whiplash lands a mighty blow on Iron Awe, as it retreats. That approximate 1.5m turning circle isn't that good, as Whiplash comes in to pound away at Iron Awe's tough Hardox shell. That's 5..6..7..8 blows on the shell, and yet there's still no physical damage to Iron Awe. Whiplash pushes Iron Awe forward a bit, and get a couple more blows in. Iron Awe then turns towards Whiplash, as it runs towards Iron Awe, and just as the axe comes down, the flipper jolts up, producing a massive amount of aftershock. Whiplash's axe is moving much slower then before, but Iron Awe's flipper hasn't retracted! Whiplash comes in again, and, using the axe, knocks Iron Awe's flipper shut. Iron Awe is creeping forward... Slowly... And should reach the middle of the arena any minute now... Yeah... And here comes Whiplash, coming in to speed up Iron Awe's progress towards the middle of the arena. Whiplash then goes and presses the pit release button, and shoves Iron Awe in. A flurry of smoke erupts, as the excellent realie is sent to oblivion.

One question though: Where does this '1.5m turning circle' for Iron Awe 5 come from? I'm 99% sure it's tank steered and turns on the spot.

D.V.D vs. Iron Awe 5: I admire Iron Awe 5, but I don't admire Mark who's entered it. I know his armour may be too tough for my drum to hurt. But I can have a go - my drum develops more power than Typhoon's FBS did, and its heavily shock-proofed in the front so it won't self-destruct. Iron Awe 5 is great and its flipper is scary, but it doesn't have a 0m turning circle - its turning circle is 1.2m, so I have better agility and speed and control. The other thing is all of Iron Awe 5's components are attached to the base, and Iron Awe's side-panels are bolted down. This means I can attack the bolts, break them, and the rest should be easy to hurt. If not, my powerful drum can always throw him OOTA. Good luck Mark :wink:
