    Blue Hurricane

    Weight: 100kg
    Shape: Disc
    Dimensions: 88 X 88 X 27
    Colour: Royal Blue for the sides, and a nice shade of midnight blue for the top and bottom.
    Power: 2 X LEM-130's @ 36v, with a couple of NiCad Batteries.
    Wheels: Two Aluminium Wheels with a nice layer of Asmaprene Urethane on it.
    Armour: 3.25mm Hardox for top and bottom, and 11mm Grade 5 Titanium for the sides.
    Top Speed: 13mph
    Ground Clearence: 5mm Everywhere.
    Turning Circle: Zero! Need I say more?!
    Weapon: Ok, the weapon is a nasty 32kg spinning rim, which is made out of 11mm Grade 5 Titanium, with 4 X Tungsten-tipped teeth. (2 teeth on bottom, and 2 on top) The teeth are all made out of hardox, and also curved to rip off skirts and panels with ease. It also runs on a single LEM-130 Lynch, and spins at about 2000RPM. This can rip through titanium and dent hardox quite easily. Heavily Shock-Proofed, as well.
    Srimech: Invertible
    Strengths: Can cause a lot of damage
    Weaknesses: Not the best pushing power by a long shot

    The 2nd Revenge of Black Death

    Weight: 100kg
    Shape: Very low wedge with a Firestorm style wedge extension on the front
    Colour: Black Body, Blue Flipper
    Dimensions: 100 X 75 X 27
    Power: 2 X Bosch 750's @ 36v powered by a couple of NiCad batteries
    Top Speed: 13 mph
    Tyres: 2 X Foam-Packed Aluminium Tyres with urethane rubber on it for more grip
    Armour: 3.25mm Hardox everywhere
    Ground Clearence: Zero on the front, and 3mm on the sides, and 5.8mm on the rear
    Weapon: The weapon here is a forward-hinged flipper similar to Envy, powered by 2 X 2kg Co2 Tanks. It's capable of bringing out 30 to 32 flips and can flip up to 900kg. At the back, there is an 8kg vertical disc that's powered by an S28-400. It has 3 teeth on it to rip and tear out skirts/panels, and spins at 5000 RPM.
    Sriemech: Flipper. Side spikes can also stop the robot from getting beached.
    Strengths: Pretty Good Flipper, Deadly Disc, Nearly Impossible to Get under from front, Decent Pusher
    Weaknesses: Limited CO2, as always.

    Ramminator Evilution

    Weight: 100kg
    Shape: Box with low front wedge and skirts all around
    Dimensions: 100 X 80 X 30
    Power: 2 X LEM-130 Lynch€™s @ 36v, and several NiCad Batteries
    Armour: 4mm Hardox everywhere
    Wheels: 4 X Foam-Packed Aluminium wheels with a polyurethane coating for more grip on the arena floor
    Top Speed: 20 mph
    Ground Clearence: 0mm on the front, and 0mm anywhere with skirts, and 5mm underneath the skirts
    Turning Circle: ZERO!!!!
    Weapon: Mainly relies on pushing power, but there is a nice Tornado style spinning drum on the front, with 4 teeth curved upwards to bludgeon. Powered by a S28-400, and spins at 4000 RPM. Heavily Shock-Proofed to protect itself from other spinners. Also has a Firestorm-style blade on the front to get underneath the opponent easier.
    Srimech: Invertible, and side cones prevent it from getting stuck.
    Strengths: IMMENSE pushing power, Extremely Difficult to get under
    Weaknesses: So-So Turning

    Whiplash

    Weight: 100kg
    Body Shape: Pentagonal Pyramid with skirts
    Dimensions: 100 X 85 X 38

    Weapon 2: At the front there is a 7kg Terrorhurtz-Like BattleAxe (made out of hardox, even the handle) powered by 2 X 2kg CO2 Tanks, 200 PSI, diamond tipped, has over 1500 joules of force when it comes down. It can also attack from both ends. Heavily Shock-Proofed, as well.
    Srimech: The axe can easily self-right it (even when it's on its side), and it can also self-right even after the axe has fired, ala Killerhurtz.
    Strengths: PSYCHOTIC AXE AND PUSHING POWER
    Weaknesses: NONE AT ALL! (Except for Limited Co2)

    Apocalypse > Apocalypse II
    Robot Name: Apocalypse II
    Weight: Roughly 100kg
    Shape: Box wedge with sloped sides, ala Storm II. The front wedge is angled at 30* to get under opponents, and the sides are sloped at 42* to deflect spinners. The rear is rounded for easier self-righting.
    Length: 80cm
    Width: 60cm
    Height: 15cm
    Motivation: 2 x internal HDPE wheels, each are 125mm in diameter and they have vulcanised tyres for extra grip, plus they are mounted like Tazbot€™s for more manouevrability. They are in the front of the robot so that the front turns rather than the rear, ala Merlin.
    Drive: 2 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 2 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks; this should provide about 9 horsepower.
    Armour: 3.2mm hardox monocoque for the most part, strengthened in certain key areas with extra 5mm titanium/vanadium alloy sheeting.
    Weaponry: The robot is a decent pusher, but on top there are three sets of Mute-style barbs, one on each side and one running down the flipper arm. These are tungsten tipped to allow it to trap robots on top, and once their stuck on top they can€™t get free.
    The second weapon is what I use to get rid of the robot stuck on the barbs. It is a Bio-Hazard style 4-bar flipping arm, but unlike Bio-Hazard it is run off full pressure pneumatics, meaning it will easily throw robots out of the arena. It is 30cm wide and runs down the centre of the robot, made of 4mm hardox and powered by a 120mm x 100mm bore stroke ram @ 750psi from a 1.5kg gas bottle, giving it about 10 flips per round, which should be enough. On the front of the flipper arm there is a strip of 8mm grade 2 titanium, which should aid in getting under the other robots
    Speed: 15mph
    Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 8mm at sides and rear, but this is protected by 5mm titanium torsion-sprung skirts made of grade 2 titanium.
    Turning Circle: Using the skid steer system ala Razer gives Apocalypse II a 0 turning circle
    Srimech: The 4-bar flipper can right it in less than a second, but to conserve gas there is an electric srimech hinged at the rear of the robot. This is the two strips of barbs on either side of the machine lifting up to vertical via a Bosch 750w motor run @ 28.8v from a NiCad battlepack. This rights the robot in 1 second, and can also be used offensively to tip opponents stuck on the barbs into the pit
    Colour: This new Apocalypse keeps the colour scheme of the old one, with dark blue bodywork and a red weapon.
    Strengths: Powerful weaponry, unique strategy
    Weaknesses: Limited gas for the flipper
    Notes: This new Apocalypse trades the powerful drive motors of the old one for more armour, as well as bringing in a new 4-bar system and a new srimech idea, albeit with less gas for the flipper. This shouldn€™t effect it too much though as the lifter can still be used to dump opponents in the pit or stack them against a wall. The previous robot enjoyed some success, and hopefully this new, more original version will build on that.
    Last time the emphasis was more on the flipper, but this time around the focus is more on the barbs, which were under-used last time and so this time around the design is focused around the barbs instead of around the flipper.

    Robot Name: Brutalis 2.1
    Shape: Dantomkia, but with the front spikes hinged
    Weight: 100kg
    Length: 65cm
    Width: 70cm
    Height: 15cm
    Motivation: 2 x HDPE internal wheels, 125mm in diameter and sloped like Tazbot for more manouevrability.
    Drive: 2 x LEM-130 lynch motors run @ 48v from 6 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks
    Armour: 3.75mm hardox monocoque
    Weaponry: The main weapon is the front hinged flipper, powered by a 120mm x 100mm bore stroke ram @ 145psi from a 1.5kg co2 bottle, giving 15-20 flips per round due to the low pressure. It is capable of pushing robots OOTA of it gets the chance, but is better at turning robots over and than throwing them. Also there is a strip of Mute-style barbs running up the flipper to get robots stuck on it. And finally on either front spike there is a tungsten spike pointing sideways, so when the robot spins it can act as a thwackbot.
    Speed: 17mph average
    Turning Circle: 0
    Ground Clearance: 0 at front and effectively the same at sides and rear due to 7mm skirts torsion-sprung and made of grade 2 titanium, but behind the skirts is 6mm at the sides and 15mm at the rear.
    Srimech: The flipper can right the robot quickly, easily and repeatedly if need be
    Colour: Black bodywork, with red skirts and a gold flipper.
    Strengths: Very durable, well-armoured, good pushing power
    Weaknesses: Flipper isn€™t very powerful, no real damaging weaponry
    Notes: This new version of Brutalis ditches the full pressure flipper and heaps of gas from the old one for thicker armour and slightly more powerful drive. The strategy is to push and bully robots around the arena with the pushing power and the flipper, rolling and tossing them around and into the pit or even out of the arena. If it can€™t manage either of those then it will be aiming for dominance in order to swing a judge€™s decision, and due to the tough armour it won€™t be too down in the damage department despite lacking any real damaging weaponry.

    Robot Name: System Shock V: Hex
    Shape: Box wedge with sloped sides, the front wedge is angled at 60* to flip opponents and the sides are angled at 42* to deflect spinners, the front wedge has a 3cm long extension with a Firestorm-style blade, this extension is angled at 30* to get right in underneath opponents, then ram them so they get flipped by the main 60* wedge, it also has a Tornado style angled rear
    Weight: Depends on setup, can gain a 10kg bonus because of the tracks in some setups
    Length: 65cm
    Width: 85cm
    Height: 15cm
    Motivation: 6 x CNC Aluminium internal, but invertible wheels (170mm in diameter), they have a v-belt groove in the treads and a v-belt between the wheels so they count as tracks, but if they break the robot is not affected at all and the robot simply becomes a wheeled robot, leaving the tracks behind. For certain opponents the tracks can be removed leaving it with just wheels, but if the tracks are removed the decision can be taken to add vulcanised go-kart tyres, for which a 100kg setup will have to be used.
    Drive: 2 x LEM-200 lynch motors running @ 60v, providing over 100HP!
    Batteries: 250 C-Cell NiCad batteries
    Armour: 4mm hardox monocoque, with 6mm in key areas
    Weaponry: As before the robot is primarily a rammer, but again it has some interchangeable weaponry;
    - 50cm diameter titanium horizontal spinning disc, with 10cm long hooked blades that are part of the disc itself so they can€™t be ripped off from their own impacts. When attached this is situated on top of the robot itself, and the blades reach just over the top of the front wedge and the rear. The tracks/wheels are higher than the disc, so it can still run inverted with this setup and use the disc as the blades are long enough. The disc is spun by a LEM-130 lynch motor at 48v, and weighs 15kg, so can reach top speeds of 3000rpm in just 1.5 seconds. This disc also feeds kinetic energy to the drive via a clutch, so the kinetic energy stored in the disc can be used for 45mph slams against other robots, which with the robot€™s front wedge is enough to throw robots out of the arena Storm II-style.
    - A Tornado style cage can be fitted around the robot to keep crushers and axes at bay. Each of the 4 bars (one from each corner of the robot) is 70cm long and the bars are joined up by a square on the outside. Very few axes and no crushers will be able to reach the robot with this protection. The cage is made from tungsten carbide bars, so is essentially unbreakable by other robots. On the front of the cage will always be fitted the horizontal disc from setup 1, like Tornado had the spinning blade.
    - The drum is back! Now spanning a massive 75cm in width and being made of titanium with its own teeth it spins upwards to 3000rpm in 2.5 seconds courtesy of a LEM-130 lynch motor running at 48v. It is connected to the wedge, so the robot still has 0 ground clearance at the front with this setup. It weighs 15kg and is chain driven, so can be reversed if the robot is inverted. This setup weighs 100kg.
    - A concave scoop made from 10mm hardox, perfect for stopping horizontal spinners or full body spinners. It is also lifted by 2 powerful linear actuators to lift opponent€™s wheels from the floor. This setup weighs 100kg.
    - The €œclassic€ setup. The front wedge is thickened by 6mm hardox and actuated by an S28-150 magmotor at 24v, so it can work both ways up. Not including the cage with disc this is the only setup that works identically both ways up, as even the drum has to be reversed. This setup weighs 100kg.
    Speed: Can be pushed to 28mph, but mostly kept lower for more control (about 17mph). With kinetic energy boost it reaches 45mph in a few seconds. The motors are geared towards acceleration so it can reach top speeds very quickly.
    Turning Circle: 0
    Ground Clearance: 0 at the front, 10mm the rest of the way around, but that is protected by 5mm titanium hinged skirts at the sides and rear that flop over when the robot is inverted

    Strengths: Speed and Power
    Weaknesses: Some people will be cheesed off by this clear exploitation of the weight advantage given to tracks
    Notes: System Shock is perhaps my most successful vapourbot, starting out as a simple tracked hardox box with 4 LEM-130s @ 36v. Only at the first update did it start taking advantage of the 10kg advantage allowed for tracks with Systematic Shocker, adding interchangeable weapons and fewer, but bigger motors. For its third incarnation it briefly became a Drilla Zilla-style shuffling machine, but after losing for the first time to its arch nemesis Achilles in the Killer Toad Tournament Special during a special grudge match it became clear that this would be its only ever fight. The next update was going to be called Shocking, and would have 8 wheels, each powered by their own individual magmotor, however this proved to be so heavy that the armour was going to suffer and there would be no proper weapons, so Shocking was scrapped and System Shock 4.0 arrived on the scene, returning to the series€™ tracked roots, but with a twist. It actually had wheels, but with a v-belt over them to claim 10kg bonus! This feature has been carried over to System Shock V: Hex as have some of the other new ideas, such as the LEM-200s running @ 60v and some of the interchangeable weapon choices. The Achilles-drum makes its comeback this time around, called that simply because the only time it was ever used was to fight Achilles on the last twice they fought (the first time was the original System Shock). It was replaced in System Shock 4.0 with the spinning disc, which was not used much as the lifting wedge was far more effective. The drum is mostly used against robots with weaker armours.
    And as if the tracks exploitation wasn€™t controversial enough this edition brings along a Tornado-style cage to protect against axes and crushers. The new spinning disc could potentially be very dangerous, especially as it delivers energy to the drive for super-rams ala Infusion.
    New additions to the interchangeable weapons roster other than the cage and disc include the concave scoop, which will be used only against full body spinners, ring spinners and horizontal discs.
    The angled rear is back from System Shock 4.0, but this time it doesn€™t hold the pneumatic spikes that were there for defence last time around, but were of limited use and so were removed.

    Robot Name: Maximum Genocide
    Shape: Triangle, ala Y-Pout
    Weight: 100kg
    Length: 80cm

    Motivation: 3 x internal hardox wheels, one in each point, 125mm in diameter.
    Drive: 3 x S24-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 3 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks to make a Y-Drive, one powering each wheel
    Armour: 4mm hardox monocoque plus internal shockproofing
    Weaponry: At each point of the triangle there are curved tungsten carbide claws that catch onto other robots when the robot spins with the Y-drive, but this is only part of the weapon. On top of the robot there is a horizontal Tornado-Mer style spinning blade, powered another 3 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 3 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks to reach top speeds of 2500rpm in 2 seconds, as the blade weighs 25kg. It spins in the opposite direction to the robot, and is 90cm long so it reaches out 5cm each point, exactly the same as the claws so that there is a huge amount of damage caused.

    Ground Clearance: 10mm
    Srimech: Gyroscopic forces ala Tornado Mer will act on the blade, flipping it back over
    Colour: Black with yellow stripes, the claws are red to look like blood, as is the blade.

    Weaknesses: Can€™t push anything
    Notes: My first attempt at a Y-Drive and now Genocide/Forza has left its roots as a full body spinner to become a more original machine with dual spinning weapons.
