Gas Bottle filling Precautions

Hi all

I was just wondering, this is mainly for Jonno but anyone thats an expert on pneumatics is welcome as well

When it comes to refilling ur gas bottle at events, do u need to wear gloves whether ur holding the bottle by the handle or not? Because I know that CO2 is a subzero gas. I mean at Barnsley when after refilling Storm Force's gas bottle, I was being quite cautious when putting the fire extinguisher back into the metal bracket

The bottles can become very cold.

You should wear protective clothing to protect hands and eyes in particular.

Always ensure that your bottles are filled to the correct weight. Overfilling is the most dangerous result of refilling CO2 bottles and you must ensure that your bottle does not exceed the gross weight stamped on the bottle.
