    BATTLE TWO

    From Norwich, in Norfolk, Splinter!

    Once a semi finalist, but were beaten there on. A box with two front arms to grab a robot and an axe to come down on them are the weapons. But how reliable are they?

    From Southampton, in Hampshire, Stegosaurus!

    This team have been a grand final and a semi final with other robots, but this was the first the team made. Its a tracked robot with a flipper at the back, but the armour is weak and it has no self-righting mechanism.

    Roboteers, stand by!

    B1: Splinter
    B2: Stegosaurus
    House Robots: Growler and Shunt

    3-2-1: Activate!

    Splinter straight into the fight and CRASHES right into the front of Steosaurus. Stegosaurus pushes Splinter back, but Splinter grabs hold with the arms and tries to do the same. Down comes the axe again, but Steosaurus gets away. Now it turns around to push Splinter from behind and FLIP it! Splinter not over, though. It too turns and the axe slams down onto the armour of Stegosaurus. Splinter pushes into the side and grabs hold, but Stegosaurus breaks free, turning to the get the flipper under. OH! Splinter on its side, but it self-rights using the grabbing arms. They come together as fast as a shotgun, but it looks like one might be buckled! Stegosaurus pushes into the front, but Splinter fights back and pushes Stegosaurus towards Growler. Out Growler comes and he SLAMS into both robots! Stegosaurus backs into Splinter again and FLIPS it up! It comes back down and tries to get the axe upon the top of Stegosaurus. A brilliant fight, here! Splinter's arms get Stegosaurus and now it pushes towards the pit release button, but Stegosaurus pushes back. Its a tracked robot for extra traction, Stegosaurus, and the extra tractions allows to push Splinter into Shunt's CPZ! Splinter gets an axe blow for its troubles, but gets away into the side of Stegosaurus, who escapes to press the pit release button. Down it goes! Stegosaurus bashes into the front scoop, but goes up it, allowing Splinter to push it into the flame pit! Steogsaurus gets away. Splinter turns quicker and pushes them back against the wall. It lets them go, and Stegosaurus gets away. The last ten seconds count down to the end of the fight. Stegosaurus pushes Splinter into Shunt again! Down comes the axe onto the top of Splinter, but it gets away, pushing Stegosaurus into the centre of the arena.

    Cease!

    What a battle. Since both robots are still mobile, we'll have to go to a judges decision.

    Splinter: S: 3 C: 2 D: 1 A: 3 Total: 9

    Stegosaurus: S: 3 C: 3 D: 1 A: 3 Total: 10

    The judges have made their decision. Stegosaurus go through to the heat final!

    But before that, another special event, with six robots from six countries fighting for the right to be Commonwealth champion!

    Before we continue with the main heat, we have another special event. Six robots from six countries that were once territories and colonies of Britian. Its the Commonwealth Carnage!

    COMMONWEALTH CARNAGE!

    From Scotland, Corkscrew II!

    Lost in Round One of the Seventh Wars. Its weapon is a spinning disc, so it has 360o of attack. Its invertible, but light and hard to control.

    From South Africa, Crushtacean!

    This robot made it the heat finals of Series Five once upon a time ago. It has two powerful claws on the front powered by special gloves, but it is unreliable.

    From England, Firestorm V!

    The favourites here. That Co2 powered flipper has thrown many robots out of the arena. Manouvrable and hard to beat, but with 2WD, it can be pushed around.

    From Wales, Panic Attack!

    Winners of Series Two. The team are one of the most experienced here. The front lifting forks are its weapon, but it has no self righting mechanism and is slow.

    From New Zealand, Riptillion!

    They entered with Araknia in Series Seven. Its low to the ground and has a spinning blade. The team have never had any real success, though.

    From Sri Lanka, Supernova!

    They were knocked out early last time, but the spinning disc has caused major damage in the past. Its invertible, but unreliable.

    Roboteers, stand by!

    B1: Corkscrew II, Crushtacean, Firestorm V
    B2: Panic Attack, Riptillion, Supernova
    House Robots: Sgt Bash and Mr Psycho

    3-2-1: Activate!

    Firestorm is straight off the mark and goes straight for Riptillion, pushing it against the wall. Corkscrew II is up to full speed and OH! It SMACKS Supernova in the side. Supernova OK, but Crushtacean pushes it from behind. Riptillion gets away, but Firestorm is on its tail again. Perhaps Graham Bone thinks its the weakest here. Panic Attack presses the pit release button. Supernova turns around and SMASHES into the side of Crushtacean! Crushtacean is still OK, as is everyone else. Panic Attack moves into the centre of the arena, but Firestorm sweeps under the front and flips it UP! Not over, though. Corkscrew II makes a move on Riptillion. The armour is scratched but Riptillion is still moving out there, but straight into the front of Supernova. OH! The armour has a massive GASH in it. Firestorm slides under Supernova and flips it against the wall. LOOK at that! The disc of Supernova ripped into the floor, and the sawdust is flying out there! Carnage in the making here. Sgt Bash has a look at Riptillion, who is on the edge of the CPZ. He pushes it away, but in comes Mr Psycho! Down comes the hammer! Riptillion looks very battered. Panic Attack pushes Crushtacean towards the pit, and DOWN it goes! That was a surprise. Corkscrew II gets flipped by Firestorm. Supernova hasn't come down from the wall, and Refbot goes to count it out!

    Firestorm gets under Riptillion and flips it up. Riptillion's shape makes it difficult to flip it over, but Firestorm can push it towards the CPZ again! Sgt Bash's jaws come down on the armour. Riptillion has taken a right beating. The spinning blade has stopped. Corkscrew has stopped spinning also. Panic Attack nudges it from behind. Firestorm collides with both of them and FLIPS Panic Attack over! Panic Attack has no self-righting mechanism, so they're gone. Refbot goes to count out Riptillion, who is immobolised.
    1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
    Firestorm pushes Corkscrew towards the pit and FLIPS it IN! Down they go as well. I think Firestorm is the last one standing here. Supernova is out. Panic Attack is out. Mr Psycho picks Supernova up and...where is he going to take it? To the floor flipper? OK! Supernova is going to fly any minuet now. There it goes! Crashing back to earth! Refbot counts out Panic Attack.
    1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
    Panic Attack is out, but Firestorm flips Sgt Bash over! Ha ha! Mr Psycho won't be happy. He chases Firestorm around, but he won't get him this time.

    Cease!

    A right royal rumble! Corkscrew and Crushtacean pitted, Panic Attack and Riptillion immobolised and Supernova brought back to earth in style. I think Firestorm is the only robot out there.

    Just so you know, this and FRFFT: World Championships will probably be the last things I do this year, if at all. I feel a bit stupid having started competitions minuets or days after ending another, and since some people aren't back yet, it doesn't feel like home anymore. Sorry if I upset you, but I'll be taking a long break. I'll still pop in. Its not over yet

    Steg only has a shot if he opens the pit fast and manoeuvres Razer in it.

    razers tactics:
    get him from the side, keep crushing until he is immobilized or in a critical condition and then either shove him into the house robots or if he is dead push him into the pit

    Welcome back to Heat B of Robot Wars: The Legends Return. Its the heat final, and the winner is going into the grand final

    HEAT FINAL

    From Bournemouth, in Dorset, Razer!

    From Southampton, in Hampshire, Stegosaurus!

    Roboteers, stand by!

    B1: Razer
    B2: Stegosaurus
    House Robots: Sir Killalot and Dead Metal

    3-2-1: Activate!

    Razer is quicker and it manages to slide under the side of Stegosaurus. Stegosaurus needs to get away, but Razer, look at that! The beak is crushing down onto Stegosaurus. Stegosaurus tries to push Razer backwards, but Razer keeps its grasp on it. Danny King and AJ can't do anything, but now Razer lets them go. Stegosaurus gets away, but comes in again and pushes Razer from the side. Into the wall, but Razer escapes. Stegosaurus backs into it to use the flipper, but Razer is much faster. It gets under again and this time crushes down on one of the tracks! If they crush one of the tracks, Stegosaurus will be immobolised! Razer pushes it over the flame pit and releases its hold. Stegosaurus gets away, undamaged by the looks of things. It turns around to use the flipper again and Razer...OH! Razer tried to come in from the back again, but Stegosaurus flipped it over! Razer does have a self-righting mechanism, but Stegosaurus is pushing it around! It self-rights, Razer, but Stegosaurus was on top for a moment there. Now Razer chases after it and slides under the sides again. Look at the gashes on Stegosaurus! Razer comes in again, and pushes Stegosaurus towards, where...the pit release button! Into the button, down goes the pit. Razer's beak pierces the top of Stegosaurus again. They've done well to get this far, Stegosaurus, but its being turned towards the pit and DOWN it goes! Stegosaurus is out of the competition. Well done to Razer!

    Cease!

    Stegosaurus is extinct!
    Razer goes through to the grand final!

    So far, two robots have made it into the Grand Final. Who will join them from Heat C. Lets find out!

    BATTLE ONE

    From Essex, 259!

    A low box with a powerful spinning disc at the front that can cause some series damage. They've fought before with other robots, but this is the most successful. It is unreliable, though.

    From Essex, Scutters Revenge!

    From the team who built Spawn Again, they've reentered an old favourite. It has 6WD to push the others around and has a lifting scoop, but it has no self-righting mechanism and is slow.

    Roboteers, stand by!

    B1: 259
    B2: Scutters Revenge
    House Robots: Matilda and Cassius Chrome

    3-2-1: Activate!

    Off we go with Heat C. 259 looks menacing with that disc, so Scutters Revenge will have to get in from the sides. 259 turns to face the scoop and OH! Sparks fly, and the impact has stopped 259's disc from spinning! Jack Orr and Adam Clark try to get away, but Scutters Revenge pushes them into the wall. Now it lets 259 go. The disc spins up again and this time it SMASHES into the side of Scutters Revenge! There's a small gash, but nothing else. Scutters Revenge tries to get the scoop under the side, but the skirts on 259 stop that. OH! 259 hits it again with the disc and something flew off! It was a piece of the armour! Scutters Revenge backs away onto the flame pit. 259 follows and another piece flies off! Scutters Revenge is taking a beating here, and after starting off strongly, could go out here. 259 stays back, perhaps waiting for Scutters Revenge to make a move. Scutters Revenge is on the edge of the CPZ, which is empty. Is it still mobile? It has been unreliable in the past. It seems to be moving in a circle. Cassius Chrome comes in and pushes Scutters Revenge into the CPZ! 259 looks on. I think it senses Scutters Revenge is out here. AJ can't get Scutters Revenge away from the house robot. Matilda comes in and OHH! She crumples the side of Scutters Revenge. They're still mobile, but not fully. All they can do is spin on a tight circle. Refbot comes in.
    1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10!
    Its over for Scutters Revenge. Matilda gets under it with her tusks and flips it up and over onto its side! 259 is the winner.

    Cease!

    Scutters Revenge goes crashing out of the competition.
    259 go through to the heat final!
