    Tracy: Axe, push, and generally be a big jerk to anything that moves in the arena.
    Melissa: Well said! How do you feel about your opponent?

    Tracy: Hehe, thanks.

    Similar to the vanquished Killotine: EVO in the last fight; boxy, angly, LEM130 and 4WD, skirts, has powerful axe that can self-right, and reasonably tough armour. Also similar is the fact that it'll run out of axe power, but that won't hinder its pushing ability one bit. Failure? We'll have to see. :P

    Back for another war! Looks quite different already. Will the change be enough?

    Melissa: Is this Y4?
    Chris: Nope, it's gone up quite a bit; Y5. No flipper, but some nice spinning blades in front to mash stuff up.
    Melissa: And why did you make that change?
    Chris: I have other flippers on my squad and the Y-series needed something different. Pussycat blades have done damage to moderately strong armour, so let's hope they'll do good here.
    Melissa: And what your opponent?
    Chris: What about them? Just tear them a new arse. :P
    Melissa: Fighting words! Well, good luck.
    Chris: Yeah thank you.

    Boxy in shape, with dangerous vertical twin cutting blades in front, spinning quite fast so look out for those. Steel and titanium armour will help it survive and MagMotor power helps it run around in the arena. Wheels are a bit exposed though. Why 5? You'd have to ask Mr. Mason. :P

    C&B1: [as Y4] Flipped NSBFR-X out of the arena before Matilda took its rear panel off, but then was given the same treatment by eventual 5th seed Aquarius.
    C&B2: Didn't compete.
    C&B3: [as Y4] Ejected from the arena late in its Round 1 match by 25th seed The May Tracks Has You.

    And finally the second fight is underway. A quick start however from Mobile Failure as it gangways towards Y5, who decides to just sit there and let the blades hit Tracy's axebot. Well, they're not fully spun up yet, so unless youve got some other pla - oh. Y5 backs off at the last second, and NOW its blades are at full speed. Mobile Failure's coming in too fast to avoid them!

    CRASH!!!

    A huge hit sends the Failure flying upwards, but the force is too little to send it completely over; it lands on top of the box spinner, its titanium wedge scratched up. Chris decides this would be a great time to show Mobile Failure around to the arena hazards, and implements his plan, dragging Mobile Failure over to the arena saws. Mobile Failure slams its axe down but can't get it to hit Y5 underneath, nor is unable to shake itself off of Y5, and soon it's on top of the saws. SCREECH. Ooh...I dont like the sound of that plastic being cut into...Y5 lets Mobile Failure down but this causes the arena saws to pop up again and send Mobile Failure away...Y5 sees his chance and buries the blades into the Failure's sides!

    CRASH!!!

    More scratching, but hardly any denting as the Failure really is flipped over this time. Y5 closes the gap, aiming to slice the axe off as Mobile Failure self-rights, but Tracy doesn't go for the srimech button yet, even she can see Chris' plan here. The Watcher comes over and looks...and begins to count Mobile Failure out!

    But no! Tracy can't stand it any longer and gives in; the axe shoots out and flings Mobile Failure up; Y5 charges straight in and smacks the axe shaft! There's quite a bit of sparks, but Chris is dismayed greatly when he finds he's hardly damaged the axe at all! But things are about to get even worse for him! Mobile Failure, enraged by the early defecit given to it, slams its wedge under Y5's front-side corner, and heaves it up onto the wedge, giving the robot a hefty smack from the axe and proving beyond all doubt that the axe is still functional and still deadly as hell! The steel of Y5 however deflected that axe blow, so Chris isn't totally doomed yet. Another axe blow is given, and Tracy keeps it down, and slides Chris' bot under the saws for a taste of its own medicine! OOH...that got one of the tires...but Mobile Failure keeps Y5 there, and the tire gets a thorough slicing until our friendly neighbourhood Watcher crashes the party with a nudge to Mobile Failure's hindquarters. Mobile Failure backs off with the axe raised, but already Y5's driving ability seems to have been botched quite a bit...look at that slice, right through the tire! Such a clean cut...that'll show you not to mess with our arena saws, eh? Don't think the roboteers can see it but Chris knows that Y5 isn't driving straight...and Tracy barges in again, with a massive slam of Y5 into the wall! Y5 plops down inverted but that's okay, he's invertible and still in the game...though with the tire in that condition, dunno how much longer it'll last. And Mobile Failure is in the face of Y5 again, but now Chris has the robot facing its enemy!

    CRASH!

    And OUCH! Only the most godly among combat warriors would call that a scratch! The blades have dug, DUG right into the titanium wedge of Mobile Failure and are stuck! Tracy wiggles her bot around a bit, but all for naught; those blades are stuck in there tighter than several squirrels in a peanut butter jar! Chris tries to push Tracy's axebot back, and succeeds at first, but only for Tracy to put away her sense of disbelief that she still has a working robot, and now Mobile Failure proceeds to smash the crap out of Y5's top-bottom-whatever armour, all the while moving it back towards the saws. Not easily though, as Y5 can still turn this way and that, and Mobile Failure accidentally drives over the saws itself, but thankfully they don't pop up in time. By now Y5's armour up top is looking very beaten, having taken 6 multiple axe blows in a row and finally The Watcher moves in and separates them...almost. One of the blades is still slightly stuck, and Y5 gets another smack from the axe, before finally the blade is removed from the wedge...and...I think that's it. Y5 is not moving! Tracy, gleeful, moves in again, and continues to smash the crap out of a very tenderized Y5 despite Chris' angered shouts from across the arena. Thankfully, Y5 spared from too much abuse as The Watcher moves in to make an actual full count out.

    Or is he? Oh no, the house robots want to have their say! Chris stares in disgust, then puts his controls down and folds his arms, his back to the arena, as the house robots smash up his creation. Well what do you expect? You into the arena; you lose, you have to pay the price!

    CRASH!!!

    Mobile Failure gets the hell out of there as Count Bleck smashes into Y5 and tears a side panel open.

    CRASH!!!

    Hexadecimal comes next, its lifting blades raised and its spinning blades ripping a gash into the other side panel, but Mobile Failure has hit the pit release button and has intentions of shunting Y5 down. Um, what Y5?

    CRASH!!!

    My thoughts exactly, Count Bleck. The panel he previously hit is gone; mechanisms exposed.

    A second hit from Hexadecimal tears the gash on the other side much deeper and wider. NOW Mobile Failure daringly jousts in, and rams into Y5, but wasn't in line with the pit. But before the house robots can assault Mobile Failure...

    CEASE!

    Y5? Y?! Y?!?!?

    Given Mobile Failure's similarity to Killotine: EVO, I think S.T.A.T. will be able to repeat its Round 1 clash and win the Heat.

    As for the Lightweights, everyone's a winner when teeny weeny robots rip the snot out of each other.

    From Cardiff, Wales...Sergeant Slaughter!
    Straight from the slaughterhouse to boot...rather, smash things up. It's got a nasty crusher with *gasp* a tonne of force! Also has some side srimechs on its crusher, ala Razer. Despite good front armour, it's got weak base armour, but if it can keep on its wheels with its decent drivetrain, it'll be A-OK.

    From the United States...Backlash!
    One of the most feared lightweights you can come across. Its vertical disc spells doom for any bot to come across it, and its shape is anything but simple; clawed and invertible, it'll amaze many roboteers. It does have exposed wheels though, and it has mediocre armour.

    From the United States...Ziggo!
    This robot has beaten the above robot in a one-on-one, and has won two LW championships, but it's not done too well in rumbles...it's a conical full-body spinner with a flag atop to tell builder Jonathan Ridder where it's going. It's also one of the most manoeuvrable full-body spinners in the world, but it does have huge stability issues.

    From the United States...Gamma Raptor!
    Chuck Pitzer's creation, entered by Tony Politzi, has much going for it here, mainly its huge speed, invertibility, and tough claw lifter. It does tend to turn a bit too much at times, but its power is almost unmatchable. The wheels are still exposed from the back, however...

    The robots competing here are still a bit too small for regular house robots, so for guest house robots we have Team Zlayerz heavyweights Super Gore Septua and Killobite Sigma.

    And once again an otherweight melee commences! And already there is evidence of a team-up, as Sergeant Slaughter goes for Gamma Raptor, who tries to get out of the way but gets blocked by an incoming Ziggo! Just when we thought the situation couldn't get any more tense, we're dead wrong as Backlash makes a deadly entrance, smacking into Sergeant Slaughter from the side!

    CRASH!!

    And what a hit it was! It's sent the Slaughterer chassis over teakettle across the arena floor with a nice dent in its side for all its worth! As Sergeant Slaughter gets its bearings back and starts to self-right, Backlash moves in again, forgetting that its disc isn't spun fully up yet! As it pauses to do so, Ziggo reminds Backlash that it's still there by smacking into IT from the side! And...that appears to it for Backlash already! The wheel's gone! What an anti-climactic result! Backlash now looks rather sad in the middle of the arena, and tries to get its disc spinning again, but there's really not much you can do now; with half your mobility gone, you're out! As to signify the worst, The Watcher makes an entrance and starts to count Backlash out, as Gamma Raptor comes to its senses and charges Ziggo.

    Liam, however, crashes Tony's party; Gamma Raptor has hardly gotten the lifter under Ziggo's unspinning frame when Sergeant Slaughter comes flying in and grapples Gamma Raptor from the side; Tony, horrified, tries to get away but the claw has already come down, much too fast for any counter-action by Tony, and the said claw is already doing heavy damage as it's penetrated the top armour of Gamma Raptor, making a huge hole in it! Ziggo's recovered now, and Liam seeing this decides to pay Joey a visit. Sergeant Slaughter does a 180 and moves the captive lifter towards Ziggo's waiting cyclone of death, and there's no getting away!

    CRASH!!!

    Such was the blow that both Gamma Raptor and Sergeant Slaughter were sent flying, as was Ziggo! And the spinner is looking mighty unstable now, as it now resembles a coin being spun on end! And...derrr...we have no movement from either Gamma Raptor OR Sergeant Slaughter! What's happened here?! Ziggo isn't spinning now, and looks quite stable in said unspinning state. It goes after the pit release button and hits it, but The Watcher is already shunting the other two, trying to free them. The attempt is clearly not working, as Sergeant Slaughter's claw is still quite fixed inside the chassis of Gamma Raptor. And still, neither robot is moving. Ziggo returns to the scene and tries to push them towards the pit...nothing doing! There's only one way to settle this, then!

    Since both robots were immobile at the same time, seems like we must go to a judges decision between the two. Don't hold your breath though, folks...

    After all this time, we arrive at a third Heat Final. Before we get stuck in, let's go to the floor and see what needs to be seen, shall we?

    *in the pits*

    Melissa: Wotcher, Joey.
    Joey: Hello.
    Melissa: Well you've upset a great seeded machine. Your opponent seems to be quite similar. How do you feel?
    Joey: Quite the same as before, really. Nothing special. Hit, push, pit.
    Melissa: That confident are you?
    Joey: Not really. I just really don't care much. It's all good fun.
    Melissa: And that's what we like to see! Good on you! Now we head over to Tracy...how do you feel?
    Tracy: ...nervous?
    Melissa: That's okay, I feel it's natural to be nervous in these situations. What are you going to do out there?
    Tracy: Win, hopefully! Even if I don't though, I'll have a good time.
    Melissa: Well well, we have two sporting roboteers here, a very good sign! Let's get down to the arena and find out who has enough left in the tank to get past the Heat Final!

    STAT vs. Mobile Failure

    It's robot fightin' time! And a fight we do have here! Two veterans have been eliminated by these two, and now we'll see what they can really do! STAT moves out, straight towards the Failure who, ironically, fails to get the axe going quick enough as STAT's spike hits the wedge of Mobile Failure and sends it flying up, and right above the axed machine, crashing down behind it! Tracy however expected this, but instead turns Mobile Failure around a bit too far, so it passes its front end by STAT as Joey turns STAT around to face Mobile Failure. Luckily Tracy rectifies her mistake just in time for STAT to crash into the front again, but this time it hasn't gathered enough speed and merely lands itself on top of the wedge. Now Tracy has her opponent at her mercy, and with a press of a button the axe on Mobile Failure darts downward to greet STAT's honeycombed carbon fibre/polypropylene top armour, but goes through that and pokes into the 6mm polycarb underneath. The ground clearance of STAT helps STAT get its rear wheels back on the ground and it drives away, but Mobile Failure is after it and just as STAT gets enough distance to try and turn away, Tracy bull-rushes into it and pulverizes it against the arena wall, the axe coming down again and this time hooks onto the honeycomb top armouring...at least for a second, before a shuddering movement from STAT dislodges the weakly attached axehead. The Failure keeps it there and rains down axe blows, 6 more solid blows before The Watcher interrupts Tracy's fun time by sharply nudging Mobile Failure from the rear. Grudgingly, Tracy lets go and Joey drives away, relieved but ever more determined to get back into the game. As Mobile Failure moves forward again, STAT veers off to the side, successfully this time, and Mobile Failure nearly drives into the wall. Before it can get back, STAT rams it from the side. Immediately, Mobile Failure is upended by the high spike against its flat sides, and falls flat on its back. STAT now finds itself on top of Mobile Failure, but drives off quickly. Not quickly enough, however, to take advantage of Tracy's peril, as she rights herself. Joey moves forward anyway with the hope of repeating the flip, but Mobile Failure backs off and STAT goes flying past. Mobile Failure capitalizes on this err and wedges STAT from the rear, driving it spike-first into the wall, bouncing it off, but chasing it down again almost immediately and ramming its side and axeing it before it can drive off the wedge, trapping it! Gleeful in its second capture, Mobile Failure takes it to the wall again and starts hammering it into oblivion again! The previously dented area on the top armour now has a sister, as Mobile Failure gets in another 6 powerful blows before forced to back off by the resident Watcher. STAT is looking very battered now on the top, suffering no wheel damage however.

    Joey isn't looking quite as happy as he was at the start of the match, and decides to go for another tack. Before Mobile Failure can stop it, STAT reverses direction and goes for the pit release button, slamming into it with its rear end. Followed by Tracy, Joey suddenly guns the drivetrain and drives at Mobile Failure, and achieves such air as the first ram in the match had not! He literally flies above the axed machine and lands in the middle of the arena, as Mobile Failure hits the button by accident. STAT turns quickly as Mobile Failure backs away from the button, and drives with all its might. Can Tracy turn fast enough? ...NO! STAT plows into the side with the spike, and immediately flips it again! Tracy self-rights quickly, but is quickly rammed in the back by STAT and driven into Renegade's CPZ! The house robot's axe finds Mobile Failure's own, and pins it, while the claws come in and clamp Tracy's machine tightly! Tracy frantically attempts an escape, but when you're caught by a house robot, there's slim-to-none chances for your escape, m'dear! Renegade takes Mobile Failure over to the arena saws...BZZT! Oooooh, dear...that doesn't sound too good...BZZT! More saw abuse. Mobile Failure gets near half a minute of the saws before Renegade lets go of it, but STAT rams it from the side and flips it over again! Such force! And she's right near the pit! Tracy, scared now, self-rights, but that's what Joey was expecting! STAT flies in, rams Mobile Failure - NO! What rotten luck! Only got Mobile Failure's rear side, and merely knocked it aside, leaving it in a huge, huge disadvantage! And Tracy wastes no time after seeing this turnaround; the Failure spins right around, clamps hold of STAT before it can get away or even move, and shoves STAT straight down into the pit it itself opened! Joey, after having seen this unpleasant and sudden defeay, smirks and shakes his head, while Tracy dances around like a maniac. Hey, such a win will do that to you.

    CEASE!

    Joey, clear the arena of your robot; STAT!

    Fourth heat? Who would have thought I'd make it that far? Certainly not me. :P Anyway, Let's get to it!

    Paralyzation 2 (7) vs. Sideswipe

    T'will be interesting to see how fast the venom in the 7th seed will act here.

    Melissa: Hmm, very nice machine, as I've said before.
    Samuel: Thank you.
    Melissa: And what are you going to do out there?
    Samuel: Destroy things? Yeah that sounds about right.
    Melissa: Not daunted by anyone else?
    Samuel: Not in the least bit.
    Melissa: Confident are we...well good luck out there.

    Nasty weaponry, the 19kg drum achieving a maximum of 5000RPM...not much else to say about it, however. 4mm Hardox armour on a low box chassis shape (with new side spikes! Shocker!), LEM130s which propel it to 15mph and a relatively low ground clearance, but the drum won't work as well inverted, and as with all invertible robots its mobility is exposed from the top.

    C&B1: Didn't compete.

    C&B3: Made the 2nd round of the Semi-Finals, but that's as far as it got: 3rd-seed Nitro-Gene 5.0 flung it over the fence after only 24 seconds had gone by.

    You'll always be under this robot's wheels if you don't take care. Or worse...that spinning bar...

    Melissa: Ooh hoo hoo hoo...now THAT is a nice machine.
    Leo: *nods* The main body's made of T6-aluminium, and the top plating is made of special 5mm bisalloy chrome steel.
    Melissa: And the weapon?
    Leo: That's my little secret. It'll do some good damage I hope.
    Melissa: And how do you feel about fighting a seeded machine?
    Leo: Like I do about fighting any other robot, just go out there and do what we can.
    Melissa: Mm-hmm, well give 'em hell.

    Steel and aluminium spell out the armourment, the weapon of secret material, or so says team captain Leo van Miert, gives out nearly 15kJ so that's not too bad. Magmotors power the 2WD and help it achieve top speeds of around 20mph, but the ground clearance is a bit comfortable for flippers to get under, and the srimech seems unreliable.

    House robots: you want 'em, we got 'em...wait, you don't want them? Well too bad for you, because Exa-Gore-Ic Evo and Rorschach are here for their arena playtime!

    So Samuel is looking to justify his 7th seed spot...we'll see! Paralyzation 2 turns to the side and moves about; Samuel is looking to avoid the front of Leo's machine, but Leo's tactic? Keep the front of Sideswipe pointed at the 7th seed! Whose tactic will work? So far it seems to be Leo's tactic; the wide stance, top speed, and torque are helping Sideswipe turn efficiently and quickly, even with the weapon in between. Paralyzation can't keep running around in circles and so backs off...Sideswipe pursues immediately. But the seeded machine backs all the way across the arena, turns and just misses Sideswipe, but again can't seem to turn and attack faster than Sideswipe can! Even so, Samuel fears that weapon of Sideswipe's and keeps at his tactic, not that it's doing much good, for as vigilant as Samuel is being about avoiding Sideswipe's spinner, Sideswipe isn't letting Paralyzation by at all! Finally, Sideswipe moves forwards, seeing Paralyzation pause for a second, and the drumbot can't move away quick enough, meaning we get our first big hit of the heat!

    CRASH!!!

    And what a hit it is, ladies and gentlemen! For 15kJ, that sure had a lot of force behind it; it's sent the 7th seed spinning back into the wall! Lucky for Samuel, Paralyzation didn't hit the wall drum-first; that would very well have been catastrophic! But Sideswipe's coming in again for another blow, so Samuel better get outta there! And so he does, but Sideswipe's after it! Knowing full well that Sideswipe by now is faster than his machine, Samuel sees no other option but to turn around and meet his opponent head-on...but even that brave attempt is thwarted! Why, you ask?

    CRASH!!!

    Because Sideswipe was coming in too fast for Samuel to turn his machine about properly, and so again Sideswipe's hit the side of Paralyzation, sending it into -

    CRASH!

    - the wall, drum-first! Oh dear! And such a hit has sent Paralyzation into the air under its own force, splatting down inverted with a THUNK! But hey, lookie here! Paralyzation, with a nifty little spin, shows that all is well in Team Coldstorm-land. So...a wall hit is not quite as catastrophic as we had thought: Samuel should be thankful that he shock-mounted all his components or else he would have likely knocked himself out on the wall! But the drum isn't going to be as useful upside-down, and to make matters worse, in comes a bloodthirsty Sideswipe again to deal another blow! Samuel tries to turn his machine about again, but...

    CRASH!!!

    Crikey! A rapid series of blows indeed, all of them having smashed Paralyzation into an arena wall! Not that the blows from Sideswipe's spinner have really done much external damage by themselves; Paralyzation's Hardox armour is holding up really well against these assaults, and just as well as the innards, too...but how long will it be until it all finally caves in? And strong though its armour and chassis are, Paralyzation's lack of aggression is certainly not helping Samuel in terms of points: he's losing them at jet speed! That won't do you well in if the judges' decision happens, Mr. Park! Eager to start controlling the match a little more, Samuel gets his robot off the wall and away from it in a hurry as Sideswipe spins its weapon up, but as Leo turns and attacks again, Paralyzation has its drum spun back up, and decides to confront Sideswipe head on! That's just fine with Leo!

    CRASH!!!!

    OUCH!!! Massive collision alert!!! Both robots go for a tumble! Sideswipe cuts through the air a bit, thankfully landing on its wheels but uh oh...the spinner appears to be bent a bit...but strangely enough, it is still spinning! Even so, Leo's a bit worried. Paralyzation's spun away again, but no damage seems to be given to the drum; the weight advantage in the weapon seems to have given Samuel the better of the blow! There's little waste of time now on Samuel's part as Paralyzation moves back in; not waiting for either his or his opponent's weapons to spin up Samuel rams his machine into Leo's with almost unparalleled force! Instead of a great CRASH, we get a rather noisy WHAM from immobile weapons thudding together, and Paralyzation's greater drive kicks in: he pushes Sideswipe across the arena! Leo tries to push back but no go! And right into the wall goes Sideswipe, the rear of the newcomer forced into it, and the 7th seed simply holds him there. Right, uh...neither of you are scoring any points by just sitting there like ducks in a row, lads. Eventually Paralyzation releases his opponent...then drives into him again a second later as Sideswipe was about to go around him! The result is that Paralyzation pushes Sideswipe over one of the arena spikes, which pops out as Sideswipe goes over it, and inverts him instantly! Now that is a shocker...Sideswipe's 'srimech' barely helps him right himself when it's spinning. How will it help him self-right when it's NOT spinning? I think we already know the answer to that; it doesn't look as though Leo can right his machine at all and that...would classify as being knocked out! Samuel, after getting over the shock of having quite successfully used an arena hazard to win the match, leaves his fallen opponent lying inverted near the spike and heads his robot to the middle of the arena to spin about in a victory dance, as The Watcher moves in to count out another brave but defeated soul. Terrible luck, Leo!

    This robot has the spark to ignite the fury within!

    Melissa: What's the game plan?
    Tony: Full on aggression, just keep ramming into him. I have the greater power.
    Melissa: He has a weapon, however.
    Tony: It's ineffective, so who gives a flying f-
    Melissa: Ahem! Children are watching this, you know.
    Tony: Fine.

    Basically vague stats, this invertible wedge, with reverse wedge in back, has Hardox armour, 4WD powered by 4 S28 Mags, and many, many spikes around the main body. The wedges are split into V shapes to possibly get under opposition easier and halt the oncoming approach of spinning weapons, but...an unknown ground clearance and batteries? And it seems very underweight...

    C&B1: Didn't compete.
    C&B2: (as Novastorm 2) After taking a ride through with The Disc 5 after Mass Disctruction Revolution got taken out, was OOTA'd after an attack from Liar 2 sent him into a CPZ and the house robots took it from there.

    Melissa: True, but it's very...bright.
    Paul: Heheh. I guess I might blind my opponent then.
    Melissa: I wouldn't count on it. Your tactics?
    Paul: Yeah, uh...I'm feeling confident so I'll just do whatever with him.
    Melissa: Very well. Good luck to you.

    A lifter, similar to its brother Nitro-Gene 5.0 that fell earlier in the tournament. It's got thicker Hardox armour than its opponent but a less powerful 2 PERM 4WD. It does however have titanium skirts to ward off assaults, and it's invertible, but it doesn't have the same kind of effectiveness inverted. It is fast, however, so watch out for this speed demon.

    And so another C&B4 battle begins! Novastorm and Harraz both come flying into each other! The resulting WHAM! echoes across the arena and into the stands, and the crowd cheer with genuine enthusiasm! Unfortunately for Tony, it's Paul who prevails here; the lifter defeats Novastorm's V-wedge and slides under it, but before Harraz can even begin to lift, Novastorm ricochets off of the lifter and away like a paddle-toy! Harraz closes in on the bouncy double wedge, but in an instant Novastorm's turned aside and flung itself across the arena, but unable to stop in time it runs straight over the arena saws; thankfully they don't pop up, only doing so when Novastorm backs the hell away from them. However, a more pressing matter introduces itself in the form of an incoming Harraz, and Novastorm is unable to turn in time as Harraz barrels into the spiked side, not bouncing anyone away this time, and starts to lift. Novastorm's traction is completely removed and at an angle he is rammed, hard, against the arena wall, with an impact to make said wall tremble! And Harraz keeps him there, lifting some more, until Novastorm is almost flush with the wall...but as Harraz backs away, Novastorm comes back down with a rather noisy clatter. Paul doesn't want the match to get away so easily and so moves in again to punish Novastorm some more, but the rammer escapes the wall and jets in reverse before Paul can reach him. This leaves Harraz in a disadvantageous situation, one such opportunity that Novastorm accepts gratefully. The wedge rammer bores into the side of Harraz and is able to defeat the side skirt, but can't get underneath the main body of Harraz and ends up pushing him rather slowly. Harraz' own motors kick in and he drives backwards, spinning both of them in an arc, lest Tony's assault lead him into the nearby Disc of Death. In said way they go over the arena spike instead...and Harraz is inverted! And now so is Novastorm! Oh dear, both robots got a taste of that arena spike! Tony, happily, designed Novastorm to work the same either way up, but Harraz isn't so lucky, his lifting arm is now useless for attacks! Harraz desperately scoots across the arena to find some space to self-right properly, but Novastorm's having none of that! With a burst of speed Tony's bot is right on Harraz' tail! Hexadecimal watches as Harraz suddenly crashes right into the wall near her CPZ in a blind panic, and Novastorm crashes into him a second later, getting under the rear skirt, and then pushing Harraz into the CPZ. Hex moves away from the wall a bit and raises her lifting blades...Paul knows what's coming and tries to use the lifter to get off of Novastorm, but that only removes his traction fully, tipping him onto his side, and Tony pushes Paul into the chaos that awaits!

    CRASH!!!

    Oh me, oh my! That's certainly a brutal, brutal scarring! It's no gash, but a huge dent has been made in Harraz' underbelly! Because Novastorm was in the way, Harraz didn't move much from the collision, but Novastorm certainly got sent back a few inches. Hexadecimal lowers her lifting blades again, but Harraz has fallen right side up again and gets away before Hex can use them or Novastorm can shove him back in. Novastorm, twisting about, goes for Harraz immediately, but Paul's not playing around anymore! Harraz spins and meets the charge from Novastorm, but gets under the V-wedges anyway and immediately lifts Novastorm from the front, Novastorm not bouncing off this time. And now Harraz takes Novastorm, still lifting him, right into the arena wall again! And with an arena-rattling slam, Harraz 'high-sticks' Novastorm flat into the wall with enough speed and power to make a Smart Fortwo cry! The crowd is absurdly pleased and holler louder...and whoa! Up goes Novastorm...OH! Well. Because of Novastorm's extremely compact dimensions, he just barely was able to stay in the arena! Paul tries to lower the lifter but Novastorm is in the way of it coming down...Harraz backs up and Novastorm falls to earth, but not quite! Harraz is between him and the earth! Harraz finally gets the lifter down and gets under the rear of Novastorm...who promptly falls directly on top of Harraz! Before Paul can react to such a surprising development, Novastorm drives off of Harraz and in the general direction of the pit release button. Harraz whips around quickly, but Novastorm's already hit the button, lowering the pit. Now Novastorm whips about, and both robots suddenly repeat their first battle tactic; slam straight into each other! Another great WHAM! resonates into the stands, and Novastorm bounces away again, and scoots off in reverse back towards the button before Harraz can react. But react, Harraz does; and again they slam into each other! This time Tony is too near the button and is thrown into it; Paul pushes forward, Harraz getting under the front of Novastorm again and lifting, lifting, lifting...and Novastorm's stuck again, with Harraz unable to lower the lifting arm completely. He backs away again, but this time Novastorm falls at an angle, and landing on Harraz' side slides off and jets out towards the middle of the arena to conjure up another attack. Harraz again spins around but Novastorm is already coming back towards him! Harraz comes forward, but Paul, thinking to catch Novastorm before it can bounce away, activates the lifter too early and Novastorm ends up getting completely under Harraz! Collecting the lifter on his wedge, Tony turns towards the pit and drives straight at it. Harraz tries to get some sort of movement going to save its arse, but you're SOL, dear Paul. Novastorm completes its journey to the abyss and Harraz ends up eating a face full of pit bottom.

    Paul, you'd better 'harraz' up and design us up a Mark II version, I'd say. :wink:
