You MIGHT get a price reduction on the high postage for multiple packs.
That's an insane amount for P&P for something that size/weight
Unless, are there any special packaging requirements needed for lithium products?
Nope just someone keeping their ebay fees down. Ebay charges more the higher your products cost but doesn't care about P&P so either way you end up paying the same but the guy selling pays less to put their products online.
Ah, makes sense. Only ever sold one item on eBay so I'll need to bear that in mind for the next time
I have the packs made up now (10S1P) and need to charge/balance them.
I am using the Fusion Paladrin charger and the 12s balancer
http://astramodel.cz/manualy/fusion/fus ... manual.pdf
The balancer sees these as two seperate packs so I assume they would be connected as two 5cell packs.
In addition, I have two cells which seem to be less than 2v so the charger doesn't like charging these. Is it possible to recover these with say a regulated power supply to boost the voltage say charging at about 3.5v and 1A directly unti the voltage of the cell is above 2v or is it best just to replace these?
Andy
i'm not 100% sure on the answers so will leave it to some of the more in the know people
but if you do need to replace them let me know becuase i need to buy some but i only need 2 so if you wanted could do a combined buy???
sorry couldn't help
Less than 2V I'd drop the cells. When I killed a number of A123 cells, they dropped to the 1.5V level.
Even if you were able to recover these cells they will never be like new and will always be the weak link in the chain. Better to pay the 5 quid a cell to remove one weak link that you could be tearing your hair out over at an event.
Or maybe one should use a bigger iron to solder on the balance leads!! Just taken apart the first pack and found that one of the leads was held on by the kapston tape so very high resistance connection. Workmanship issue me thinks for the main part.Originally Posted by typhoon_driver
