Does anyone have a small piece of 1-4mm steel? I need this for a nose cone on my new feather. I need something around 300mm by 120mm. Thanks in advance,
Alex

may have somthing. what exactly would you like?
To tell the truth, even I am unsure! I need a strip of steel which I can cut into two 300x50mm pieces, with allowance for cutting blade width. It does not need to be very strong, and I will be welding it. The idea is to create a nose cone which can guide opponents onto the lifting plates ( I am creating a feather in the style of Maelstrom/ Saint Agro).
Alex, I have some 3mm mild steel plate thats 560mm x 100mm left over from making Alices flipper. As far as I know were not planning on using any more of it, so if you dont get a better offer and you want it its yours.
Thanks Ian. How much would you want for it?
Hi Alex, nothing, which is exactly how much it cost me, although if you want it posted youll have to pay for that but if you can wait a couple of weeks Ill bring it to Burgess Hill, if your going.
If you are giving stuff away at the moment Ian,have you got a Harley?![]()

Haha Clive.
Ian, I am coming to Burgess, and bringing the School engineering club on Sunday.
Thanks very much, see you at Burgess!
Clive, Im afraid I havent got any left, if only youd asked me earlier...........actually Id have still said no. Anyway theyre only two wheeled tractors, stick an 8 furrow plough on the back and you could get a job on a farm at the weekends. (This is where the Harley fans come over all unnecessary and start complaining.)
Okay Alex, see you at Burgess Hill.
