    Metatron
I have a problem with Tron, I have just changed to Spectrum on it and I am getting some strange things happening list below.

Switch on TX put in link all ok.
Run back and forward all ok
Switch off TX for no signal test; Tron slowly
    turns to the right
    Turn TX on, it stops.
But if I just plug in link with out TX it doesn€™t move

It has two Blue Boat speed controllers and a v-tail adaptor from the old RX.
The red+ wire from one speed controller signal to the RX is removed I was told this was for the BEC I think; I have bound the receiver 2 times no difference.
The wheels move slowly and doesn€™t cause a risk to anyone but it€™s not right.
    Any ideas?

Rebind your transmitter to the receiver and make sure the sticks are neutral.

The failsafe is set when you bind and the receiver outputs nothing until it has received a valid signal.

what i found worked was to start the unit and then trim the motors till they were quiet then re-bound the transmitter with the settings as adjusted and that seemed to do the job i will be fitting a new speed controller when funds allow.

i will take out the v tail controller when i have some time

    Thanks for the advice

hope to see you at Barnsley

I was wondering what people thought about the Sabertooth speed controller sold by Technobots. Now with the discount it comes in at just over £80.
It seems a good unit, but how have people who have used it in the arena found the unit?
I€™m using 9.4v drill motors*4 with a 14.4v battery pack. Radio is Spectrum.

I wouldn't recommend using overvolted drill motors with it but you are well within its rated specs. I blew two in hornet but then i am running 18V drill motors at 24V.

If it works with your system its a very nice controller but then I'm going back to electronize in hornet

From what I have seen they are very decent speed controllers, if you don't go overboard with the motors.

Clive, I think it has been done. I think Trev uses that setup in Ironside, but don't quote me on that.
