Hi guys,

Well congrats to Iron Awe.... or ( Thor )... both deserved it really !! Was a good event.
Arena went up smoothly, event ran smoothly, arena came down smoothly !! Just for a change !!

Major damage didnt have such a good event, suffering all the way through with a cracked insert in one of the sprockets leading to problems !! Well the drive train is about 3 years old now and has done a fair few fights !!

The Uk champs has certainly livened things up a bit, there were some fantastic close fights and too many heavy and feather weights in some ways!!!

Thankyou, the the Roboteers for attending our show, I'm very please to see the number that turned up,
should be back at Brentwood next year, Sorry about the catering that will be sorted. Rex Garrod will not be judging but has agreed to still make the trophies but will be there with his bits & pieces on a table in the merchandising area.

This was up there with the best of our shows, so much so we've had a few emails.. here's two of them.

Dear Roaming Robots
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you. My husband and son, aged 9, came along to the show on Sunday and absolutely loved it.
Charlie, my son, got into Robot Wars just prior to it being stopped on TV so when at the last minute we heard about your show he got so excited.
Upon returning home he was full of excitment telling me about the set up, the robots and the events.
Later that evening we then enjoyed watching the DVD of the 2008 show.
Thank you to everyone who helps organise such an event and just to let you know that you made a 9 year old boy very happy.

a big thank you for your offer to help us,however we where helped so much by the staff that we had a very smooth evening and george enjoyed it so much that we came back sunday morning,keep up such a wonderful show and best wishes to you all at roaming robots,hope to see it again soon.

Swindon next for Uk champs qualifiers - 23/24th May 2009.

Thanks to Jonno & all the crew for this great event. There were some real good battles. This Championship is definately increasing the desire to win and I think is working well to give an atmosphere like a UK champs each event.
