Dave, I think for 2009 there are currently 2 new members with the remainder renewals. It is a difficult task to handle sending voting papers to members who have only just joined being as their details are not yet in the system. We have to have a cut off at some point being as the voting closes soon.

Some peolpe signed up at Whitwick, Tim has the details.
Get their e-mail addresses, e-mail the ballot forms, how long does that take?
There are just over three days before voting closes! Plenty of time for the newbies to vote!

why hasnt dave had the email? it would have taken less time to email him the form then it would to post on the forum

and with 2 new members it wouldnt take long to stick them into the system???

Sorry If I have not understood something Karoline but I see no mention of a cutoff in the election voting proceedure:
    1.5 Voting Procedure
€ Voting will be conducted as per the timelines set out above, eligibility to vote is based upon FRA membership and is limited to one vote per membership; eligibility to vote is for current FRA members - defined as those that have signed up for 2009 or those who were members in 2008 and have yet to renew
€ Voting will be conducted via email using the email address provided on your membership form
€ If you do not receive your voting details by the 9th February 2009 then please contact the returning officer
€ For positions where there is more than one candidate standing there shall be the option to vote €œfor€ each of the candidates
€ The winner of the election for each post will be the person with the most votes
€ For positions where there is only one candidate standing they will be elected uncontested to the role.
If it was posted elsewhere I must have missed it.

There is no system to be fair, its all bodged. Call this an Association... seen RC car hobby people websites with something better lol.

Need a nice secure reliable pro system, like we have at RR, but then saying that not everyone can be assed to use it or dont know how to use it, cough mike cough. haha!

Granted, the best voting system, and best explained, is as good as a chocolate teapot if people cant be assed or choose not to use it.
There has been no shortage, however, of confusion on the eligibility to vote issue.
