Feathers are the F1 division of robot wars and are way advance compared to heavyweights. beside heavies only play :P lol that should get it stired up!

Having read eds site it is a proffesional approach which highlights current problems and how to resolve them. Many of the things on there have already been discussed by the FRA but no action taken. If i were running as a candidate i would look very closly at the site. We need somebody (whoever it is) to be active.

Does Geoff have any visions, tasks and solutions to current issues that he wishes to share with us all so we the membership can make an educated decission as to who we want to vote for? At the moment i feel as though i cant vote for anybody as i dont know anybodies aims...

    I agree james.

Im looking forward to reading candidates visions for the future and where they see things going, at the moment noone can really vote as they havent had all the facts to make a rash decision.

I think the FRA should do the following...

1)It should Archive all of the previous messey discussion. Things have been sidetracked.

2)It should set up one thread..... and each candidate gets one chance to sell himself/herself. One central focus point for us to read which is easy to follow.... A list of the candidates nominated, ( is there anyone standing against geoff? ) and their respective words.

3)Set up another thread named election chat .

4)Moderate these threads ( within reason )to keep them on track and dont let them be side tracked at all.

Then the community can make a decision based on facts given to them.

Or.... just make me president !!

On a serious note though, the committee do have to take note of the things Ed has written about, many of the items have already been discussed within the FRA, and maybe nothing has been done. I am hoping the new committee will not have to spend their time fighting off conspiricy theory threats and allocations, and more time focusing on whats important.. and thats moving forward and getting things done!!

Eds standing against Geoff isnt he? If hes not organising an event (http://www.teamstorm.com/fra/eo.htmhttp://www.teamstorm.com/fra/eo.htm - and thats what stopped him being a candidate) then surely he should be allowed back as a candidate?

I put my support on Eds website because of the things he planned to do and because I believed he would actually get those things done!
I am gratified to see that some of his fearsest critics agree with me. I do not have any facts of what has gone on in the past and based my decision on what I have seen myself in the last few years.
There are, no doubt, some that will tar me with the same brush that has been used on Ed so I dont expect to get elected.
However, If I am I will do everything I can to keep the FRAs aims on track and not let proceedings get bogged down by any personal grudges, infighting or dragging up of the past, as far as Im concerned the FRA will not have a reverse gear!
As to me personally, I am my own man, I will not be brow beaten, led or pushed by anyone else.
I will listen, take note and be the voice of the whole community to my best ability.

    Roboteer

Its great to see that so many have such strong views. The FRA needs roboteers opinions to form decisions and shape the future going forward.

Now that election nominations are closed I will shortly be posting my goals for 2009/2010 in time for the voting emails to go out.

Mike... I commend you for standing and basing your judgement on facts youve been given, however there are a number of us im sure will disagree.

Good luck in your campaign, I havent decided who I will vote for, like you, it will be on the facts im given, I dont doubt you will push things forward.

Even if you dont make chairman, I do hope that you feel strong enough to make the change that you stand for a roboteers rep.

Dave, I think your missing something.... read above.... Even if he now cancels the event.... do you not see that he is an event organisor.... he has had interest in organising an event.

Does that mean I can hand over Roaming Robots to someone, and stand for President myself? Maybe its a tempting thought !!
